| Quote: Prince Buster "Totally agree and its not only at prop. Second row also looks very suspect Ashurts is a reasonable player. Molloy can fill in but very injury prone, Kirmond worries me and I really wonder if he has that much left. Tupou is the biggest waste of money this club has ever made and although he may hang around in order to draw his huge salary , his body is shot and I think he will offer even less next year.'"
is it even possible for Tupou to offer less than this year? hes been non existent.

The bloke reminds me of that old red pick up truck on top gear.
The engine will not die and will eventually start but the body is totally shot and although the vehicle technically keeps working it offers nothing.
What worries me is that tupou musters enough just to try and see out the next season with his huge wage being his incentive to take his body around one more time. However he will only be going through the motions and offering nothing in return to the club.
However I could also be doing the guy an injustice. He may accept he has nothing left and retire with dignity.

I think he will stay be here come the start of the season, cant see who's going to take him from us so only hope we've got is he retires. He isn't going to do that with the wage he's supposedly on with us.

I really dont understand the stick that Bill gets, he is good defensively, is a strong runner who is difficult to put down and has good pace.
I appreciate he cant always put his winger away but if he could do that every time he wouldn't be playing for us.

I agree, I think if chezzy can work with him pre season and get him into the routine of using his winger more then he would be a very good centre for us.

Come off it! He's pedestrian at best and is shocking under the high ball. Les Tonks was difficult to put down.

He's got one of the best finishers in the game on his outside FFS!
Fortunately Miller, Jowitt and Finn are now doing plays that cut him out and go direct to Johnstone. Again, might as well have Tonks there.

Of course not because it's the typical scapegoat b*llocks peddled on here by the same old posters.
Tupou was a Winger when he arrived not a Centre. However he has the perfect build to be a centre but converting him will take time and wasn't helped by a lengthy injury which I'm sure Belly will tell us was faked.
Defensively he's OK and he runs the ball out well. He's big and strong and he tires out the opposition and gives the pack a rest. People say he doesn't feed his Winger which again is utter crap. When a Centre feeds his Winger it's usually because an overlap has been created. It is not the Centre who creates the overlap, that happens far earlier in the piece. The classic job of the Centre is to spot this and draw the opposition Winger and release the ball. Can someone tell me who was doing this for Bill and his Winger? It certainly wasn't Miller who is the ultimate when it comes to a player who can't release the ball at the right time. Nor was it the mechanical Finn, decent at what he does but no Wally Lewis with the booming pass.
None of our Centres have had much oppurtunity to feed there wingers this year because in most games our ball movement has simply been to slow and easy to read. Only when Moore has been on the pitch which was not often enough did the ball ever go out wide quickly enough - as it happens Moore and Tupou have not been on the pitch at the same time often enough.
As both Tom, BJB and Brown get better this year and with the addision of Williams I expect to see the pacy and powerfull Tupou do very well in all respects even if he never ends up being a Neil Fox.

Listen up "Jesus".
I stand on the terraces at all home games and most aways. I see players do good stuff and players do bad. My comments reflect this.

You like him and think he's worth an overseas slot, I don't. End of.

| Bill has the potential to be a wrecking ball second row. Don't try and off load just hit the ball at pace and attract defenders as he is so strong. Tackles hard as well.
