| Quote bren2k="bren2k"Solipsism was a word in everyday use where I grew up; we would often pause during long glue-sniffing sessions outside Townley Road shops, to reflect on the fundamental quandary that knowledge of anything outside ones own mind is unsure and therefore, cannot be proven. If I recall correctly, Bessie and Keithy the Tranvestite were the only true metaphysical solipsists, in that they believed that since the existence of the 'other' cannot be proven, it in fact does not exist at all.
Lupset in the 70's was a much more sophisticated place than people will have you believe.'"
Hmm I don't think I would have defined him as a transvestite, in my fading memory he was more a bit Quentin Crisp camp with a decent handbag. Rumour has it he could handle himself though, but you probably had to walking round Wakey like that in the '70's

Gonna give Kirmond the benefit of doubt. The minute his performance drops Ashurst is in.

I reckon we have more chance then Leigh seeing as there still only a championship team.pity Leigh finished last in middle 8s or they might have had a chance off the super 8s this year

Haha the topic is first team players so not quite back on topic there

I hope you still remember this, as I was quite happy to bow to your superior knowledge of players.
It appears that a fully fit Stuart Howarth seems to be doing ok and Scott Moore may have a fight on his hands to gets his hooking berth back from your '4th choice' hooker!

Spot on but you might as well be talking to a lump of coal.
Further to that I'd like to see Moore back ASAP because as I wouldn't mind Howarth moving into the halves. Everybody is banging on about Hall (personally I don't get it) when IMHO Howarth is far more the real deal.

| Finn and Howarth the potential doesn't exactly leave you salivating with optimism. They would be the slowest half backs in SL so that would be something. I don't remember Howarth having the skills to break open the opposition.
This idea is probably best left on the paper rather than on the field.
