Well I can. They are professional players. If we get a franchise and they're good enough then we'll look at keeping them. If we don't get a franchise and they're good enough other clubs will look to sign them. The ones we don't deem good enough may still get contracts elsewhere, others will drop down to the Championship either with us (if we dont win a franchise) or other clubs. WTW is not the be all and end all for these players.

| I did not go today. But on paper 11 tries scored through the centre and wing channels speaks volumes. This has been the case all season. We should have looked at being better in this area by now.

| I don't know if anyone is interested, but I'm still behind Kear, and hope that he is still here next season, Super League or not.

I am interested to hear your reasoning why he should stay and your counter arguments to the reasons a number of us think he should go.

Because I think he's got a lot out of players this season who, in my opinion, are simply not good enough for Super League. This team of players, on paper, are not as strong as any other side in the league. But yet we've still managed to turn over teams we had no right to beat. It's unfair to blame Kear for defeats like today but give him no credit for some of the excellent victories we've had.

| Hey guys - credit to the fans who travelled over today, I saw a few of our fans 'sneaking out' with 10 mins to go out of boredom and your lot stayed put, Must have been awful to watch.
If you were one of the few that engaged in a dance after George's try, I must ask, Where did you learn?

Fair enough, but on the flip side we have only managed 1 win out of 5 against arguably the weaker opposition teams, so the work done in winning games against some of the other sides is wasted to some extent.
Surely you can see that the rugby we play is crap and that it is easy to defend against and that any professional rl players are capable of playing more expansive than we do - I just don't buy this excuse that the players we have got aren't good enough to play any other way. We have some experienced players who have proven they are, and some youngsters who have come from wigan and sts who teach them the right way.
Next point is the bizarre team selections and signings which to my mind has undoubtedly upset the harmony in the camp.
Then the inability to address the fundamental flaws in defensive structure.
Nobody expected us to win alot of games and losing in itself is not a major criticism, but there is no way the squad we have should be losing by some of the margins they are and that is where Kear rightly has to cop some flak.

Re the Ted comment - that was based over the whole of his tenure - admittedly it was more fun having your toe nails pulled out than watching that lot last year!
Re the change in course - if you continue doing what you're doing then you'll always get the same result. I would suggest that change is required and quickly, otherwise we are going to be humiliated on a grand scale!
We could do more, in what way? Signing players, running the business side of the club, Marketing the club, what?
What's going on in the field, is imo on the toes of Kear and his team and Elston, if these last 4 or so, really bad performances hadn't have happened, imo we wouldn't be hearing this unrest from the fans.
With the situation, with what it was, when Glover took over and only a few months to go, to get a franchise application in, it seems a lot of his time and effort has gone in to that and also making the business more viable, with the hospitality and match day experience etc.
I hope not but you get the feeling, that the whole franchise decision will we, won't we thing, has really taken it's toll at the club. I do feel for the players etc not knowing whether the club are going to be in SL next year and if so virtually turning the rest of a season into a bit of a joke.
I agree with the bolded part, after the first game, Hickey should have been pulled out and played in the reserves, simple as that and we should never have signed Tadulala. Like you say, the thing that brought them together, at the start of the season, that camaraderie and under dog tag seems to have been eroded and the effort and fight, they showed through the first half of the season, seems to have ebbed away.

In a ideal world maybe, in a beaten team every week and one thats full of unrest its not so easy.
Just like you and me players go through ups and downs in life and are affected by everything that happens around them, it not black and white, it never is.

I'll let you into a secret squire, Wakefield got into SL because they beat Featherstone Rovers in the play off final hth.

| I don't to profess to know what is happening at Belle vue,but looking at it from the outside as I do it looks to me like Mr Kear is more intent on winning the 9's than anything else.

Murphy has been poor lately, George is the tackling machine - not that it makes much difference as it sounds like none of them could tackle.

I work in print and there is no such thing as a pure black or white just shaded of grey. RL is the same, but Kears the obvious target and there comes a point where someone has to pay the price. Rightly or wrongly in RL it's always the coach.

Which is more than Hudds managed, were they not invited into SL after finishing 2nd because Paris went pop?

First point - we could have done more to tempt better quality 'guest' players from abroad. I won't accept that there are not players you can't tempt with the right offer.
Second point relates to the first. Of course we'd have been happy if we'd won 2 more games in the last 2 months and we were still competing on the pitch, but we're not because of, partly point 1 above and secondly, the complete and utter mis-management of the resources we do have available.
Off the field - no problem!
What I do now believe is that we have removed any remaining obstacles in the way of the RFL having us removed from SL by 1, performing so poorly as to not even compete (how does that benefit the game at all?) and 2, by signing poor, over the hill overseas players and removing the one reason that would have allowed to get away with our poor performances - namely that we were investing in game time in a new generation of home-grown players.
I believe that in the above we have signed our own death warrant!
