Exactly, loan deals. Released players, brought players in. New coaching staff additions and investment from sponsors etc. there has been plenty of action taken and it could still be enough … just.

And yet they blatantly ignored the most obvious change there was but that's not surprising in the slightest. We have a history of not making similar decisions which is what has got us to where we are today, it's happened with every single coach we have had under the current board apart from Poaching which is strange to me as he was probably one of the better ones.

We plead we don't have the budget and yet we make some really questionable decisions with the budget we do have, are we still paying Chester? Or did we honoyr his verbally agreed contract in one lump sum?

Bollocks. A couple of players out a retirement and a few loans here and there, completely ignoring the actual issue.

Look on the positive side, if the deal goes ahead for Matt Ellis to purchase it will be be best anniversary present the club has ever had, indeed one could equate it to the gift of life.

But if you let someone die before you bring them back to life, my guess, and I'm no doctor, is that there will be some damage to the heart.

The warning signs were there for all to see at the end of last season. If we had acted then and recruited correctly then all this mid season tinkering would not have been needed. Trouble is the bloke making the rugby decisions at our club for the last few seasons is clueless when it comes to recruitment.
