I've got thoughts about French and Field
And the 3 line busts Wire made around the potb, all very early doors and all resulting in scores.
I don't expect Wigan to not make similar busts but I do expect them to be able to defend a lead far better than Wire did.
Anything on the edges we're decent but we've got to put a block on that middle of the field potb gimme and dress the ref in a hi-viz vest..icon_smile.gif

I just hope the ref and his assistants managed to get a deal with their sponsor (Specsavers). a046.gif

Hope the fans turn out for this one! The latest round of attendances once again disappointed as in previous seasons. The public just don’t seem interested in it.

For a club like ours though with such a poor challenge cup record in recent times this is a big game for our club. I know it’s on tv but I genuinely believe we can win this and the crowd could really make the difference in getting the lads home.

If we can beat Salford on Sunday we’re going in off four straight wins with confidence sky high. Cheap tickets and good marketing leading up can hopefully pack the place out and could do wonders for the club on live tv…

Seen so many posts on social media this last week from ‘sleeping’ Trinity fans who I’ve not seen post about the club in ages…it’s a big opportunity is this game…

Sunday can’t come quick enough can it!

Going in off 4 straight wins…the sloppy 2nd half yesterday to hopefully concentrate our minds fully for the job in hand. Am expecting big Dave back who likes playing Wigan…hopefully Johnstone ok to play after what was arguably the best 40 minute performance from a single player at Belle Vue for a long time.

Wigan look good this season…got a lot of time for their coach after listening to him earlier in the season on the podcast with Wilkin and Flanagan…can see from that why he’s doing so well…like WP with us, very much in touch with the roots and culture of the club and what it means to play for the club. They’ve got some outstanding match winners like Field and French but for me their biggest strength is their defensive quality…very, very hard team to break down. We can’t afford to panic..patience might win the day.

Looks a massive task but it’s worth noting that in our last 8 matches at home to Wigan we’ve won 5, lost 3 and the 3 defeats have been by 1, 6 and 8 points. I can’t remember in any of those games going in that there was as much excitement about our team and whole feel good factor about the place?

Let’s hope our fans turn out in numbers and make it a memorable one!

That will be why cases are now at record levels (thankfully not too many people falling off their perch).
