| I don't think he was ever RL material, he's clearly shown in the past where his loyalties lie.
I used to think that of the two, him rather than William, was closest to the people. I was wrong, for me William is that person.
Harry could have gone on to a great relationship with the British public, especially the younger end, but he's chosen to turn his back on that and build his future elsewhere.
I hold no grudges but I think it right that he was stripped of all his military titles, and I don't know how this works, but does he retain the title of 'Prince?' Surely that can't be right if he's dumped his royal duties and his country to live elsewhere?

| My view is that nothing immediate will change in rl but these little things just keep chipping away at us , Elstone and now Harry , whatever your views they are a dam sight more recognisable than even our best Rl stars to the wider public and is another kick in the guts to get us recognised in the main stream . From there money will flow into the game instead of the trickle we see now , and all the problems that brings

Let's just be clear. He has lost his honorary titles in the forces so they can be given to another royal who will attend the particular events.
He was in the army for 10 years getting to Captain rank. That isn't taken away.
He's still patron of the Invictus games as he did that off his own back.
He still trekked across the Arctic to raise money for injured soldiers.
Anyone who suited up in the military and did tours in war zones deserves my respect.
He didn't dump his royal duties they were taken off him.
However they have still supported the organisations of which they used to be patrons, just without title and funding from taxpayer.
A Prince is the son of the Queen. I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed. It's the honorary titles that have been handed back, like Duke of somewhere.

Isn't that blood line a bit debatable?

Yep, which tells you all you need to know.
Hysteria whipped up by the press and it wont change anything for the man on the street.
Quite a bold thing to do, walking away from most of his privilege's but, he aint going to be short of cash.

| Isn't this the couple the left the royal family and escaped to the Americas because they were fed up of the publicity? Npw they.ve signed up to do a two hour interview with Oprah Winfrey.
No loss whatsoever to Rugby League. Our game is a game of the working classes and someone of that ilk should be chosen to represent us.

Yeah well he’s an embarrassment to the Royal family and the the British people generally.
In fact a lot of the Royal family hardly endear themselves the British people, IMO of course.

You can look at it how you want PT.
In my opinion he knew very well what the risks were when he chose to live elsewhere. How can he perform his duties from where he is.
I like Harry but he clearly does not gave the same affection for GB that William does.
Probably he doesn’t feel part of the royal family? Don’t know why...

| I can think of bigger embarrassing members of the royal family, and he's well down the list for embarrassing the UK public.
I'm sure he will be concerned with your opinion of him 1315.

I don't think that's clear at all.
He's done so much for the country already, I can't see what makes you think he doesn't have affection for the country.
He's never going to be King so what's the big deal.
He married an American that the likes of the Daily Express and Piers Morgan seem to revel in creating fake stories. Why wouldn't he want to live abroad with that kind of abuse after serving his country.
No one seems to mind our sports stars representing GB when they live abroad. Mo Farah lived in Oregon when he won is golds in London.
Or Sean Conner, or Lewis Hamilton, or Phil Collins or Michael Caine.
Double standards by the media generating this issue if you ask me.
