Sacrilege to some over here but I'd imagine next week against Saints we'll be pretty unrecognisable compared to the squad against you with the semi-final being four days later.

| Well if you look at The Wakefield squad it looks the strongest its been since lockdown. No more excuses, I would say Mr Chester.
I see on Skytbet we are getting 20 pts start. A couple of season ago I would have put a large amount on us with that handicap. Especially considering that Wigan are due to face their old enemy, the Saints in the cup in four days time. However even with our crap form and the fact I would expect Wigan to take their foot off the gas if they are well in front I still think we will keep the score to within 20pts.
If we cant even do that, then I would expect Chester to fall on his sword if he has an ounce of self respect

And 1/20 for a straight Wigan win.
Nice certain tenner there if you have £200 to gamble.

| Well it was nice watching something different than Miller’s crash balls to Ashurst. Notice JW is absent so Crowther to start at 9.
Harsh on Rocky/Jowitt. Two of the only few who looked remotely interested post lockdown. In my opinion of course, before Little Willy pops up.

Why does it look strong when we have Walker, Johnstone, BJB, Fifita all playing first game for ages (or second for BJB)
The fact that we can only name 20 players for a 21 man squad shows how busted the team is.
It's very likely some will be playing injured.
So the no excuses comment...... Against Wigan at near full strength.... Is a bit premature.

Unbelievable, making excuses for Chester already. It is a near full strength team, not sure how you can argue with that. Those players are professionals who train full time with the squad and they are all fit to play otherwise they would not be playing. Who knows if they are carrying niggles but if they are not fit to play then putting player welfare at risk is another bad move by Chester that I would seriously question.
Are the likes of Greensmith not available to be put into the squad? In the past teams have even named players that they know for a fact wont play even when injured to make up the 21, strikes me as another excuse to use if we are embarrassed again in front of the Sky cameras.
I actually have a feeling that we may pull off a win this Friday by the way.

| Shame about Max, again.
However, Rocky am not too sure. He isn't probably tall enough for the modern demands of a full back and sadly doesn't have a game controlling handling and kicking game so have no idea where his best place is and it's always a risk running the wrath of parents.
I also think some missing maybe still furloughed?

I don't think the height is an issue when it comes to fullback, it hasn't held back the likes of Quinlan, Bowen, Hanbury etc from making a career at FB.

Give Over
I think you will find the only reason 20 were named is just an admin error. The squad is no more busted than Wigans or most other teams.
According to some , both Jowitt and Rocky are dropped, not injured. So unless Mopsey can confirm otherwise, thats another two names for you to add to your squad.
There arealso a few others he could name just to get to 21 who are not injured as far as I am aware
As for players comming back, BJB has had the longest lay off regarding the 4 you mention and he did OK last week.
Walker played not too long ago so I expect he will also be something like. Same for Tom,
Only one that worries me is Fifita. However he can be given a couple of short bursts, so lack of match fitness could easily be managed.

Think rockys best position is full back , however we do have 3 good full backs plus gigot all of whom have flaws in their games. In reality we really only need 2 of the 4 in that position and if I were Chester I’d be trying to move 2 of the 4 on to free up some money for a scrum half

To be fair Wilzay I'm going to pick one of your comments & correct you. I don't do this normally Like most on here. I'm not going to insult you either Like others on here. But I've always said right from the start Jowitt is a very good ball handler Catches the ball probably as good as any fullback in SL in & he is only one of a few who has always been keen in everymatch he's played. But to me, his defence is awful so he's not "unlucky" like people are saying. Chester has probably seen enough & decided that he's not a first choice player probably thought that for some time so when other players are fit Jowitt doesn't get a look in. Again I don't know I'm only surmising.

Must have a team of awful defenders then because MJ's in no worse than many I could mention.
