| He's had a shoulder problem for a while but i think he has been very good this year and will only get better. He has the ability to go all the way i reckon.

| Have to say my personal favourite defensive fullback was Geoff Wraith (until he defected to Cas). Not many players got past him. I once saw him run from one corner of his own try line, the full length of the line to make try-saving tackle on the opposite corner. Great stuff. My best attacking and kicking full back has to be Gary Cooper. Jowitt has the makings of an international full back'

| Got to agree regarding Geoff Wraith being defensively the best. Always remember him once making a tackle down the East Stand touch line, defending the North end, where he tackled the centre and swung his body/legs round to simultaneously take out the wing man! Think he went to Oz before he defected to Cas.
Blotted his copy book later though when he resigned as our coach before his 1st season had even started.

Think leeds and wraith were best I ever seen in a trinity shirt - all i ever remember of harold box was his unerring ability to not find touch when kicking after a penalty, Leeds played 95-96 mainly at full back, geoff wraith sadly shouldn't have ever donned a trinity shirt again after his first stint- i was at the keighley cougars game when we had i think 3 best off, including our esteemed coach for a clothes line that would have done a wrestler proud. Totally out of character and probably a reflection of how frustrated he was on the day and with all things trinity.
Great guy off the field sadly suffering from health problems now.

| On his debut season, he's acquitted himself remarkably well; congratulations to the lad, and his family - he can end the season with his head held high and proud of his contribution to a fantastic turnaround in fortunes.
I'm sure he doesn't need internet experts to tell him about the parts of his game that need attention - so I shan't bother; I look forward to seeing him improve over the coming years.

Wind your neck in a bit Bren - though I get your point I can't see any offence or criticism on this thread from anyone. You're straying into Wollo's territory here and that's not a good thing.
I'm all for being positive and supportive but we might as well close the forum if we can't even discuss and element of a players game that in the opinion of the author needs some attention.
As stated in the opening post he's done really well. However I'm sure you'll agree that there is a huge problem in the British game where good youngsters like Jowitt break through for a season and never progress. It's as if it's decided that after a few SL games you don't need further tuition and you're on your own which is absurd. That gap between a players breakthrough years 19-21 and when they should be maturing into the finished article 25+ seems to be a wilderness few emerge from. This is why IMHO we in the UK produce so few world class creative players.
Jowitt has it all potentially but for me doesn't look a natural tackling machine though I accept at 19 it's hard to make a real judgement. I just don't want it to be neglected (not that anyone import ants listening), if it's an area he needs help I want him to get it, that's all.
I have never seen a player who has absolutely no flaws in his game so why the offence on here from some at a small short coming in Jowitt's game being noted on an obscure forum I don't get though I'm not surprised.
I read a lot of autobiographies and one quote (can't remember who) fit's this issue.
Went something like this "Anyone can enjoy mastering the parts of the game they are naturally good at, but the true legends are those who endlessly battle to through the cold winter nights to overcome their shortcoming"

I'm not commenting on people who have chosen to point out the obvious areas for development in his game - just stating that I choose not to; feel free to debate - it makes no odds to me!
