To be fair 8 players,7 of which would be playing is a big loss to any team.

I could not agree more, my comment however was aimed at Hemmings and the rest of the clowns at Circus Sky, imo if Wane had not taken Mcollorum off you'd have been in danger of eclipsing our score at Wire, I quoted your game because rughead kept on defending KR using your injuries as an excuse for your poor performance and at the same time although nearly a month ago still managed to highlight as he does every game our poor effort against Wire as a comparison but failed to mention at any time the horrific injuries we have suffered in, and that does not include the 4 we lost in the week leading up to the saints game.

| Quote: PopTart "I don't buy into the media thing about us waiting for the middle 8. I know Webster said it but it was a throw away comment that has really been blown out of proportion
BUT, I absolutely agree about his personal style.
Even when he was assistant, I was lucky enough to be in the legends suite a few times and when he came in to do his chat with Elston after the game you'd think we'd lost every game by 50. He was quiet and non committal on everything and showed a total lack of enthusiasm (especially next to Elston as you can imagine)
He may well be dedicated and enthusiastic on the inside, but I have to say as someone who leads teams at work, and has Captained a rugby team, enthusiasm from the leader is 90% of how enthusiastic and determined the team will be. You don't have to be the clown, but you have to be passionate and show energy.
I like some things that Webster has done with the team, but he needs help in that area, and unfortunately his Captain is a similar character, being an effective but quiet achiever rather than an exuberant leader.
It's something that can be trained in my opinion, but it has to be learned fast otherwise it will be too late for him.'"
That's my take on it as well but in contrast Powell's attitude at Cas is so laid back he's almost horizontal. Win lose or draw he is always quiet and unemotional in his post match interviews but it seems to work in his case but not with Webbo.

It's not a throw away comment when he says it post match two weeks running as he did. That shows that it is his mindset and it is one that has filtered through to the players and to the fans. You are correct in what you say about the rest of his demeanour and the hope that this will just change at the flick of a switch come the middle 8 is fanciful imho. The rot has set in already and i have no confidence at all that Webster is the man to turn it around.

Indeed. I have to say I like to support the manager and give him time to develop along with the team but his watershed is this next two weeks for me.

Would you rather win tomorrow against KR or keep the Wembley dream alive against Leigh.
For me, I'd rather scalp Leigh next week (or win both )

| It's about putting in a good performance tomorrow for me.
Basics right, build pressure and try to control the game instead of panicking and giving possession away.
Hopefully that will take the team into next weeks game with confidence back in their own ability.
Possibly the biggest factor in how we perform tomorrow, is who will be named Captain?

| ld expect to see much more effort from our half backs what ever the combination may be. Smith seems to be well below what you would expect . For me H K R would be a team I would expect to run close and we are more than capable of beating them. The whole team seem to be short on ideas and Smith could and should take this type of game and run it.
Its about confidence and using this game to bounce back, I want to see a massive effort from all.

| We have been patient personified, the results have been nothing short of disgusting. I am amazed by the fact that if this had been Agar coaching the number of out threads would have engulfed the forum. I read that we would be happy to lose but be competitive, this is not good enough we should not be satisfied with teams scoring 40 + every week. We made Catalan look good they cannot win away but managed to score 40 against us.
I blame Webster for bringing the great name of Wakefield Trinity into the RL gutter. No team should lose this badly every week and to say we are looking at the middle 8 play offs should be a sackable offence because if the supporters decided what's the point turning up then we would have our chairman on twitter questioning if we want a club. He should be asking that of Webster by making such a dumb statement.

| I'll give Agar some credit in that he in the end admitted had no clue how to turn around the form of the team last year. Webster this year has done nothing but blame other things from his and the teams poor performances. I agree with Scarlett he is dragging WTW through the mud and will bring the club further disgrace through winning us the wooden spoon.

Quick scan...
Agar 28/74 win ratio 37.84%
Webster 9/25 win ratio 36%
Four of Websters wins came in his first 5 games. Since then its just a win ratio of 20%.
