How many times has Bailey played for you so far? Has he found out who is the best person to hide behind after he's done his "big I am" impression?

I think it should be a good game, but we will need to dominate in the forwards to stop your backs getting a chance to shine. I reckon we can do that, but as you say the reaction after a tough derby game can go either way.

Looking at their stats from Sunday and I think they missed something like 60 odd tackles and have the top 4 missed tacklers for the round, including both their halfbacks.

On the flip side by all accounts both their halfbacks looked very good in attack.

So I reckon possession will be everything, if we can protect the ball well we should find enough gaps to win the game, but if we cough up the amount of possession we did on Sunday we could get a battering.

I Fancy us to win it though.

It may be a fairly high score.
You would expect our timing in attack to improve and they seemed able to score plenty past Leeds, so it should be an entertaining game.

We can take plenty from the Cas game and if we can have an even share of possession, I fancy us to win.

Come on Trin !

Quote: Theboyem "Very confident for this one. Hull KR look very good 1-7 but we'll beat them in the forwards where they look much less impressive and thats where the game will be won.'"

We where missing Weyman, Larroyer & Bailey on Sunday. All three would have been in our 17 man squad against Leeds. There is a chance 2 of the three will play against yourselves. Still don't think we looked bad against Leeds and dominated Leeds in the forwards for large parts of the game. We also outshone Leeds for 60 minutes so if we can turn that into an 80 minute performance we'll do okay on sunday.

Having only seen the highlights, Leeds scored following one of the most blatant obstructions that you will ever see (the Maguire try in the 2nd half)
How that wasn't a penalty is just baffling.

I don't think many Wakey fans will be fearful of Bailey's return to action - the lad's full of and wind.

That said - from the highlights, HKR look to have plenty of threat in attack; it'll be a tough game.

Any thoughts we have from round one we have to take with a pinch of salt. Teams don't usually bed down properly til 4/5 maybe even later.

I saw that so called try live and was outraged along with the 10000 other Rovers fans. Thaler had a shocker. A couple of other key decisions went against us as well, which would have been allowed by the video ref if the match was televised. These weren't shown on the highlights. I have also watched the full game back on our TV channel.
The game could have gone either way until Leeds got their final try 3 minutes from the end. By then HKR were running on empty as Leeds were throwing the ball around at will to try to get a breakthrough and the game was getting like touch rugby. Exciting but hardly structured. It was high risk for Leeds and it paid off for them - just.
We had a fullback who tried to wipe the dandruff off Briscoe's shirt instead of tackling him for his opening try in the 2nd minute and a centre who has played for us for the last 7 seasons and who jumped the line for a pastime. Watkins and Maguire exploited this weakness for 2 tries. Hopefully he won't start for us this week.
Despite what has been written by many Wakey fans in this thread, the Hull Kr forwards outplayed Leeds in the first half, matched them for the first 20 minutes of the second half and then tired and fell off tackles in the last 20 minutes when Leeds went high risk.
It should be a good game on Sunday and it could go either way, but I expect Rovers to tighten up a bit and Wakey to try to hammer us up the middle. Will be close.
Finally, I wish we still had Craig Hall - talented lad.
Good Luck.

Only Bailey in your squad which is more of a boost for us than you. Donaldson also now out injured as well. I think we will get on top the longer the game goes. Wakey by 12.

Walker, Green and Allgood are all very big lads at 110kg+, so if your expecting to dominate us down the middle, then you might be in for a rude awakening. But may the best team win. Allway's had a soft spot for Wakie, more than them heathens down Wheldon road.

It's ok Dee, the bookies have the game off scratch, so technically we're not favourites icon_biggrin.gif
