I don't see whats so fickle about my opinions, I've always accepted that Newmarket was a chance event.
Quote: vastman "Well you're wrong as ever. What division we are in or what crowds we get will not stop Yorkcourt building the Stadium they planned for - they too see long term and they also need it to get planning permission anyway.
'"
You don't know if I'm wrong do you, your just hoping everything turns out well in the end. Thats what Ted did and look where it got us. Is there really anything cast iron to say that York Court have to build a SL standard size stadium or is there?
The whole system of franchise selection has changed. If the chances of us coming back up appear to be slim what need is there to invest in a larger stadium. Just look at Leigh a nice big ground that really is not needed considering the chances of them ever playing SL are slim ( under the present system).

| Except Wakefield have also submitted a signed 5 year tenancy agreement for the club to play out of Oakwell until Newmarket is ready.
The RFL have asked the club NOT to vacate Wakefield and go to Barnsley so the club also submitted plans to temporarily upgrade Belle Vue, they also submitted proof of funding for the upgrade and a report from the WMDC planning office which confirmed the upgrade was doable.

I just did,
Others might be prepared to reveal more details of his blatant attempts to ensure Wakefield don't get viewed as nearer a stadium than Cas.

No. Very unprofessional if true and surely a misconduct offence. Wakefields meeting with Savilles has nothing to do with the council or any other rugby league club. If true then its a very pathetic and desperate attempt by an obviously bent councillor and it could actually work against Cas. TBH I doubt it will be true though and I'd expect Mr Box wouldn't jepordise his position by acting so unprofessionally

Yeah i know you did
Just wanted to hear it again, he can only have done IF he thought Wakey were nearer than Cas, or IF he knows that to be the case and wants to muddy the water.
lets hope Savilles can see around the smoke screen.
