| After feeling so down lately at just about everything to do with the club and being topped off with the awful showing against Hudds, I'm feeling quite optimistic seeing that squad..
Fergy, Drew and Brough are massive bonuses coming back into the squad along with Stosic, who was great early doors and can be forgiven his poor display on Sunday, I'm sure he will have a far better game on Saturday and look like the player he was early on.
Would also like to see JD back in the pack and Winterstein be given a run-out.
Could be some beer money to be had on the coupon aswell I reckon..

| Looking at the 19, I would leave out Rooney (with the exception of the tackle on Brown he hasn't played well) & Gleeson (looking totally out of his depth and could do with a spell in the reserves to rebuild his confidence).
I still think that JD could do with a week off to get rid of some of the pressure he's been playing with of late. If JK thought the same that would leave Gleeson on the wing & Grix to LF.

First things first - Rooney's kicking has always been crap.
If Rooney had performed well last season I'd give him the benfit of the doubt, but I'd have struggled to include him in our best 17 (or 19 for that matter) last season (assuming no injuries) and given Tony Martin's performance at SO this year I think Rooney's fallen further back.
I agree it takes time to return to match fitness, but half backs need to show creativity too & that's something I don't believe that Rooney has.

| I don't think anyone is having a 'Go at Rooney', but with Drew, Latu, Obst, Brough, Grix and even Martin as options at 6,7 and 9 as well as Rooney some of them have to miss out.
My personal opinion is that we need Drew at 9 and Brough at 7, and Obst for his tackling and enthusiasm at 6 to tighten up our leaky defence. Latu should spell at hooker which unfortunately doesn't leave a spot for Rooney.
What you have to ask yourself is what can Rooney do that Brough, Drew, Latu and Obst can't?

| I agree i think Rooney has done very well considering he's been out for so long amd with more game time we'll see a big improvement. Unfortunately for Rooney he's come into a team disrupted by a lack of confidence, some injuries resulting in players playing out of position and the off the pitch fiasco.

If true is it linked to the rumours of fighting in training the other day?

| Who to play on the wing ? Obviously sick note Bob must play on one side. Prior to going to Wales he ought to be made to watch This Sporting Life, then go to see Rocky Turner, Nigel Bell, Tever Skerret and Graham Idle just to learn that you may get the odd knock / strain or pull whilst playing RL, it does not mean you have to run for the nearest ice pack. We expect you to play on. ( remember Dave Halley at Hull KR, infact remeber Dave Halley during his whole time at Belle Vue )
The other wing place is a problem, Grix has proved that he is a very good Rugby player as long as he is not on the wing. Gleeson we know can be an effective winger , but after his `lack of effort ` display against Huddersfield he has to prove that he wants to play for Trinity. No doubt he was upset with the Scully situation as they are mates, but he is a well payed professional and should have acted like one. I would like to see him prove his worth in the reserve team for a few weeks.
So I go with,
Blaymire
Rooney
Atkins
Martin
Peterson
Martin
Brough
Stosic
Drew
Bibey
Snitch
Fergy
JD
Wilkes
Korky
Latu
Obst
If Grix is not playing well at 6, Latu comes on to 13 and JD moves to 6.
Rooney will not let us down on the wing. Obst comes on to spell Drew.

Just post rumours on forums:10084.jpg |

You'd think the players would have more sense than to fight in training.
Arrange it for the way home at the end of the day. That way it doesn't get broken up and no one gets suspended for it.
