| sorry Al thought it would get lost in all results
Hi,
At present were looking for a sponsor to help aid the u17s get a new kit down at Normanton the one they are playing in needs replacing and I was wondering if there's a business or group that could help out, its easier when the lads are younger and they have that awe factor but as they get older it does tend to be harder to convince.
The main stay of the team is from the u16s from the winter league but decided to move up a year into the summer league some players that was playing a year above their age slipped down to give a more compact side, so far this formula is paying dividends and the side is unbeaten hope I haven't put the mockers on them now
so if anyone can help out please feel free to contact me as soon as possible
Steve

| Quote: snowie "another good win today 8-44 to Normy u17s put up a very good first half organised and disciplined pushing the score to 4-34 but the game plan went astray in the second half, not bad to say they had three main players out
How did Louis go Snowie and has the injury cleared up.

East Leeds or West Hull will not roll over and i stand by this Cas have had a easy start and the first test they have failed .'"
you want to change your mind now?
congrats to panthers hard working coach!!

| Am i wrong to be alarmed here ?
I heard this today from a "un named" 12s coach
Its all about winning and nothing else is important.
after the team he was playing scored"you are making me look like a doylum in front of everybody who i have got out here to watch you"
saying he had the Wakefield scouting team watching them and they were failing ( No one from JHs team was there)
playing his son at 13 and 9
telling the 9 he is hooker but has no responsibility
also not recognising school as worthwile and saying it ammounts to absolutely nothing.
This is a head coach and im naming clubs or names but most of you know me and how sensitive i can be not that its my business i have just in the last 15 plus years seen men tarred and feathered for far less.
would you send your kid here or am i reading to much into it?

No you're not reading too much into it and you're not wrong to be alarmed. You need to contact the club and league involved and report him. Entirely the wrong attitude whatsoever for an amateur coach at any level.
We sometimes wonder why RL doesn't attract more fans, things like this are a big part of the reason why.
The guy involved shouldn't be coaching.

jeez that wants reporting if not to be monitored
paramount to bullying

| This what i think snowie but what if its unwanted by others. Me personally think its bang out line and its the tip of the iceberg with say sos but its like MY TEAM !! .
I thought id seen it all when a coach and his entire bench almost replicated the riots of the other year when Stanley 11s came back to beat them with parents baying for for blood by shirt number. But this..
Junior Rugby league at times really does let it self down. Like i said i wont name club etc but i must think long n hard about it.

| I do 100% advocate the importance of winning. I think it is very important for the kids to see the hard work that they put in rewarded with a win and a good performance on the weekend.
My philosophy though would never cross the line to the limits this “coach” seems to have. Without sounding dramatic I think the role of the junior coach is not only one of getting the best out of the kids on a rugby field but building their confidence and helping to shape them as a person. I know I had a massive amount of respect and for nearly all my junior coaches and I believe they had an influence on my development both on and off the field.
It is a massive responsibility being a junior coach and this behaviour needs reporting. The unfortunate fact is very few are going to make it as professional players and even if they do they need an education to fall back on regardless of their on field success. Were I a parent involved with this team I would not allow my son to continue playing in the team.
I personally thought that I would not enjoy the coaching that I am doing, and sometimes it can be massively frustrating, especially when your own son in my case is the one who disrupts training the most, but it is vital to remember they are kids they have short attention spans and even within my 9’s they are at massive stages of development both mentally and physically.
We are playing again prior to the Castleford game this week at Belle Vue. Last time there was a lack of teams turning up and trouble with numbers so I understand we had to play against our own team. Kids still loved it and they are really looking forward to this Friday too.
