Top six 2005 - Trinity.:

Not impressed with Mckmeeken these last 2 games.

He looked a world beater beginning of season but he looks very unfit to me.

He’s trailing in back play, not making much impact hitting the line and just got stood up standing in defence for the try in the middle.

He seems to be suffering from playing multiple positions in games too. Started first 20 in second row and looked ok. Moved to prop and back end of first half looks tired and struggling.

Saying that Catalans are dire.

A lot of their players are blowing heavy and fitness looks a real issue for them collectively.

I haven't changed my mind based on these games. He's a prop now.

How so?

He was solid at SR that first 20 with some quick PTB that led to a break even.

Moved to prop after 20 minutes and got run tings round costing a try under post and barely made a dent in opposition forwards? Also was hanging behind play a fair bit in middle.

Not sure what you were watching that first 40 if you think he played better at prop. Not watching second half though so maybe he played better second half. In this game though his best has been out wide but he’s still far from the player I watched early - mid season.

He looks every bit like Tanginoa did after being moved about. Completely lost.

Despite what you say he is a second row who can play prop and can play both equally as good. Go back and watch some early season Catalan games. He was very good at SR and prop.

He along with the rest of the Catalans team though look unfit and shot to pieces.

When I've seen him play, I like him better at prop. My problem with him at SR is he isn't involved enough.
His issue switching from SR to prop is the other props are getting a rest and he's only just come back from injury.

As I've said a number of times, I'm not saying he can't play SR, but I think I'd rather have someone more mobile, and his off load game and size lends itself to being a prop.

Tbf he looked great up to his injury, and what is it his 2nd or 3rd game back? His first game I watched he was decent but looked knackered after 60 minutes but he has a just had a few months out and it's sometimes hard to regain that form and fitness straight away.

Loved that ball spill from Storton last night that quashed any chance of a Rovers come back.

Was a good tackle from Smith that. Right under the ball with his shoulder. More to do with the tackle than Storton.

Correct.

It was a forced error, completely different and Wollo knows that. Think he’s possibly hinting at Grix unforced error v Saints years ago which seems to have traumatised the poor guy.

Lets face it who isn't traumatised to this day?

If it had been a Challenge Cup game the BBC would show a clip along side Don Fox's miss as part of their annual montage. icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

I agree, but as I say that was totally unforced, a total brain fart, that’s what made it so unforgivable. It was one of those rare moments in which getting it right was easy, getting it as wrong as Grix did took some real effort - I still can’t fathom what he was thinking.
