I’ve just been listening to the Pre Leeds interview with Pouching, and I’m sure something doesn’t add up re Johnson. He mentioned the injury and said it was done in training, not cleared up yet and giving him an extra rest with the C final break.
The next question by the interviewer was “what is the specific nature of the injury” A pause by Willie, looked skyward and mumbled, “a groin injury I think” not a very convincing explanation,
just my opinion of course.

It would appear they don’t exactly know the extent of the injury but hope to have him back after the cup final break.

I have never compared him with Makinson because there is no comparison. One is elite level and golden boot and numerous times super league winner , whilst the other is a good super league winger. You will find it’s Wakefield fans trying to convince themselves he is in the same class as Makinson so try and compare the two. My point was it must be frustrating as a Wakefield fan when he’s in and out of the team due to injuries, who must be on a decent wedge so it could free up some money to sign the other Fifita who would be a quality signing
