After hearing today's news on LCC can they really afford to be in a costly wrangle with us over this. I know they have duty to their public but surely in economic time like this and today's announcement They ought to do the right thing financially and prioritise other spending areas before this.

And even more ironically, they have to make more cuts but he is still willing to spend Leeds Councils money fighting something that quite frankly should be none of his damn business.

Either that or todays announcement is a big shock and he may have rethink on opposing to save money/jobs

That would be the same Ted Richardson who found the site, got Yorkcourt and the Council on board is it. What made you judge jury and executioner?

Ted struggled with this club for years in very trying conditions. Sure, he got many things wrong and I disagreed with him often, but most of us who went to his meetings came away pacified each time.

Love him or hate him, he did put this together, and if this is the only thing he got right (which it certainly isn't), then it is enough that we should at least offer some gratitude for. No Ted = No Newmarket!

Ted was responsible for alot of things that were bad at this club but he was also responsible for the chance that we might have a future.
