Quote: imwakefieldtillidie "I can't see Parcell coming, I think we'll go with Hood, Doyle and Smith. I hope I'm wrong because he's a quality player, but I reckon we'll use the last quota spot on a second rower. There's Rourke and Matty Russell still to be announced and then, apart from a few renewals/extensions we'll be pretty much done. Whether Lino stays or not could give us some room for manoeuvre later on.'"
parcels non quota following the new rulings from rfl , so far every reported rumour pretty much come to pass , hoods been great this year but he looked slow in super league last year. Even after parcels signing we have 2 quota spots and are actively looking down under

That rule doesn't happen next season. It's for 2026.

Rodwell

Uele
Bain
Nrl prop tbc

Vagana exempt due to starting playing in uk as a junior
Parcell - would be exempt under the new 6 year rule as he joined Leeds in 2017

Seen it reported both ways 2025 and 2026 you could be right in which case we are one over quota so perhaps the Lino exit rumours have some truth

Top six 2005 - Trinity.:

Quote: FIL "I'm told that Matty Russell is a done deal, along with the NRL prop I mentioned last week (still don't know who though) and we are waiting on quota clarification so that we can then hopefully sign Parcell
I’m going for a wild punt that the prop could be a brother of one of our current players also a prop.

I have no idea but what a signing that would be!

Also, it would be an absolute bonus to get Parcell in as I think he’s a very good number 9. That maybe would depend on if we could free up a quota space though…

Quote: homme vaste "Bizzare comment, because we've signed a player that Powell's worked with before? I hate to tell you this as it doesn't fit your agenda but Powell doesn't identify the players to sign, that's our recruitment manager.'"

So you are saying the recruitment manager is the guy in charge and Powell as nothing to do with the recruitment .And most fans are saying that bringing in a player that as played 26 times in two seasons because of injuries is the best we can do for one of the key position on the park. Think fans are getting carried away with us winning so many matches this season. In most matches this season our 6,7and9 have been out played and that was before the injury Well smell the coffee we will not get away with it next year Next year we will find out if Mr Powell is a good coach or was he lucky to have Finn ,Gale ,and Mcshane all in there prime at Cas

I asked Ste Mills that about Caleb’s bro, apparently he’s just signed a new £800k deal with the sharks so we have no chance!

You have to be the most negative person that's ever existed! No reasonable person expects us to be going to Old Trafford next season. We are building a squad that is available and that the club feel will start what we all hope will be a bright future. What you haven't done is said who YOU would bring in, instead. Now this isn't a Manager simulation or a dream team list.

He’s only till end of 2025. Signed for 2923/2024 at Cronulla do next season is his last. Perhaps afterwards the lure of playing with his brother might open up an opportunity.

Most likely as you say unless we use the marquee spot with some serious coin pumped in it won’t happen.

I wonder who this prop is or even if it’s a prop at all. I’d have thought we’d be looking at a second rower or 9 if anything.

When you say 'lucky'. Do you mean he spotted those three players when others didn't want them and built a team that would go from very bottom before he took over to 4th in one season and then 5th, 5th, 1st, 3rd, 5th and 4th.
Yes maybe he was lucky. I hope he's as lucky with us.

It would be an amazing signing Braden, he’s a top line front rower. Not sure who the NRL prop is, I got wound up the other day we were signing Kurt Capewell!! There will be a lot of names flying about, especially with teams like Parramatta, South Sydney etc getting new coaches and refreshing their rosters. I know it’s a long shot but I believe big Reegan Campbell-Gillard is being shopped about, imagine that!!

Assuming they're off contract, I'd guess it'd be one of Peter Hola (Raiders), Liam Knight (Bulldogs), Makahesi Mankato (Eels) or Martin Taupau (Broncos). Outside chance of Jordan McLean or Matt Lodge. I'd like it to be Knight.

I'd also prefer an out-and-out line-running second rower. Not loads of top class ones about, but I really like Jack Williams at the Sharks. Absolute workhorse but can also run good lines.

Certainly seems to be plenty of forwards available if that list is to go by.

Martin Tapau has been banded about last 2 seasons and it seems his agent just shops him to get him another NRL deal every season. Didn’t we offer him a deal for 2023? I’m not sure I’d be keen on that.

Can’t say that I’m not excited to find out who we have signed as I reckon there’s a big one still to come.
