I'm not uninformed and I wish I were at liberty to expose some of the truths regarding Halifax's application, it would certainly send some of the indignant Fax fans scurrying and the Fax Chairman would/will/does look rather silly.

There is no need for further debate the position has been more than adequately explained in numerous messages on this forum and the VT. If you can't grasp the situation aftere reading them, then there is no point in further debate.

I am with Vastman in that I am sick of ill-informed people from other clubs slagging us off at every opportunity. It was one of the reasons the championship didn't seem such a bad destination as someone else would then be the leper of SL.

Final points for you to consider, independent experts in various fields rated each application and they know considerably more about their respective professions than you or I. Your Chairman has consistently stated that we broke the rules in the last franchise, failing to acknowledge that the rule he was referring to was amended at the back end of last year after Crusaders went into admin.

His comments about our stadium were cringeworthy and as I have said before if he is a Solicitor, god help anyone he represents.

Do you also know why the RFL told Halifax to get a case ready when Halifax were currently thinking of waiting until 2015?
Do you have the inside track on why the RFL went public in saying that, whilst Widnes were in, the Halifax bid was not dead in the water?

At a guess I would suspect they were worried about both Crusaders and us and you were the insurance policy in case they weren't convinced our new owners could deliver.

I don't hear anybody from FAX acknowledging the fact that you were lucky to be given a second bite of the cherry, given that there was never any mention of this being a possibility in the lead up to you Widnes and Barrow submitting your franchise applications.

Well if you can't see it from what's already been posted then as I said there is no point. You have even less knowledge of the position than the Fax fans and certainly less knowledge than the likes of the Clan (as far as our application was concerned).

The clear message, is were sick of going over old ground when all this has already been done to death. We as fans and the club are trying to look forward and therefore we don't want to read ill-informed comments from other fans and the Halifax chairman.

At last, someone with a bit of sense.


As I understand it, it's the other way round really, that Halifax were not going to apply this time but were encouraged to do so by the RFL.
Then, when they see Crusaders retracting their application at the very last second, they could be forgiven for thinking that the RFL have side-stepped the decision about Wakefield.

If debate it is then be prepared to accept that on certain important points you're wrong. I don't claim to be an insider but solely due to my whereabouts on Tuesday and the people I was in the company of, I was made aware of certain facts by people who are on the inside and I'm not referring to anyone at Wakefield Trinity.

The Halifax Chairman will no doubt go very quiet and on receiving feedback from the RFL might reflect with some regret his numerous outbursts.

Clearly if Halifax were the insurance policy for us, then the decision to keep us in based on input from independent experts should surely quash the whole argument. Halifax were only ever going to be in, if we didn't match up to the requirements and we did end of discussion.
