Getting to the end of this season, even with the shortened fixture list, would be a very good outcome at this stage.
Wolfpack seem in serious trouble both on and off the pitch and whilst the visa situation couldn't possibly have been foreseen and therefore avoided, it does raise some questions about their (TWP) set up.
Are they a Canadian side based in the UK or an UK side with a Canadian name and clearly, for the future, they need their players on some kind of different visa.
You would be a brave man to gamble against Coronavirus being here for some time to come and the there is serious talk about the coming winter being worse than what we've already seen, with numbers world wide growing very, very quickly.

I agree with you that, we probably do have to "live with it".
However, that wont be our choice, the decision on what to do if the virus returns in winter, stronger than we saw in March / April, will be taken bythe Government.
The point that I was really making though, was more about what may happen to spectator sports and in particular Rugby League.
IF there is a stronger wave of Covid19 through the winter, how on earth with large crowds be permitted for any sporting event.
This would be catastrophic for all spectator sports, including RL. |

Lets hope they go pop ! and sooner the better the last thing our game is a canadian circus putting british clubs in jeopardy, it will never work . |

The article even if blown out of proportion is very damning. Argyle supposedly has money coming out of his ears but players getting paid late constantly seems really bad. If this does end badly will it be the end of expansions projects that are none uk?

I'm no fan of Toronto, for me its a loony concept, always was, always will be and totally unsustainable. To me, its yet another example of certain high profile RL types feathering their own nests, can't name names but he seems to appear and then disappear from every 'new' club, how he gets away with it I have no idea.
That said I do hope this issue is handled well and that Toronto dies quietly and peacefully rather than in yet another glare of unwanted publicity, sadly I'm not confident of this.
