But we did the same during licencing too. Bug bear of mine this, and has been for ages. We want it always, when its franchising and we are in danger of getting the boot it's not fair because of all the players we produce and because of the fantastic junior set up we have in and around our area. Now there is no licensing we are 'forced' to include too many of these in the squad as survival is our sole aim.
Something that needs to be improved on.

| Clearly on this issue some clubs need to be baby sat, the RFL increasing the non-fed numbers to 7 will see clubs fill up on imports. They should’ve kept it at 5 and increased club trained players to 10 per club in a 25 man squad. Naturally London would be screwed with the number of players they released but this would be the way to stop clubs like Trinity stocking up on imports regardless of the jeopardy that awaits them at the end of the season.

I agree - partly.
I think the number of imports should be scaled down to 2 over the first 3 years of P&R, whilst the number of club trained players should be scaled up over the same time period.
Equally, squad size should be capped and the number of games a player can participate in per year should be limited; the U19's should also be reinstated and fielding one in the comp should be a requirement of participation in SL, regardless of moans about cost.
Clubs have proved they won't behave for the good of the game - so force them.

| Maybe Agar sees Siejka as a full back ?
More and more half backs are converting to FB so they can take advantage in broken play ?

| From what I've seen, read and heard about Sammut over the last few years is that he can be a great game changer/impact player on his day.
Therefore I wonder whether long term (dependant on form) Siejka will take 6 and Godinet at 7 with Sammut on the bench to come off bench and go to either 1/6/7 for impact?
It's a long season and quality pivots are few and far between so if he comes hope he's fit and adds something extra then great. If we get injuries/suspension we'll be thankful for that depth as Wildie is really a hooker.

| posting after a bottle of wine is never a good isea!!
however my view of Harry is that he is a very good link player, you will often find him in the middle of a play rather than at the beginning or end! He makes good decisions and has a great kicking game.
Very much an old style stand off.

| Whatever happens it will give us more options and competition for places. It is likely that HS will be earmarked for 6 eventually with Sammut pressuring Mathers for the fullback spot.

| Not sure If i heard this right but Harry is on his 3rd appeal as been knocked back by RFL. Agar not happy as London players getting quicker approval for players with less NRL time than Harry. If hes got a polish passport isnt he classed as an EU citizen and wouldnt the rfl be breaking employment laws by not letting him work.

It's not that they don't let him work, it's that they limit employers for how many they can have.
Slightly different

| Tim Smith was a bit of a prodigy in his younger years, we took a gamble on him and it didn't turn out too bad for us.
I thought Wigan had signed a great replacement for Tomkins in Matt Bowen but he has looked a shadow of the player he was in the NRL.
Give the bloke a chance.
