Indeed, was my first visit to East Hull and I was concerned over the various reports i'd heard from various people, however I was also congratulated by several KR fans. Despite the dubious view, probably the best treatment from a losing teams away fans I have experienced in many a year.

Well played KR, I have found a whole new level of respect for your outfit - loud, friendly and graceful losers, even the woman in £-stetcher couldn't do enough to provide directions to the nearest sarni shop pre match - Bravo!

I always liked the visits to KR. Apart from the first one where we lost in the dying seconds courtesy of Cockayne Other visits were enjoyable and the fans are a cracking bunch. Particularly enjoyed the Brad Drew masterclass to steal the game a few seasons back (but didn't enjoy the jobsworth stewards). Reckon this game would have been even better

Are fans were great today, but the lads deserve it through all the effort they have put in past these couple of months! Na na na na na na Wakefieeeeeeeeeeld!

Just going to add my 2p worth to the mix as i live in Ponty.
Wakefield fans and team yesterday was a massive credit to the sport,i reckon best away support at MS3CP all season even more than FC brought.
The team didnt let you down and one thing i do love is seeing away fans celebrate when they beat us,winning should be enjoyed and you guys did it,seeing the Waky players going over the ad hordings to shake hands etc with you guys makes this sport the best.
Next time when you come hopefully the new stand will be up but with it being a 52 week build it depends if you play us early or at the same time of year.
You was warned about the poor view at that end,if you are there again next year,get Andrew G to hassle Rovers for Waky to sell Well tickets,imagine if you had been down that side ?
Last but not least best wishes for the last 2 games,play offs hopefully for you and thanks for yesterday !

Thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated. As for the view we were warned so it didnt come as a shock. The last few weeks we have had all sorts of excuses for teams losing to us, refreshing to be congratulated. Hope if we don't make playoffs that you do. All the best for the last 2 games.

I would also like to thank the Wakefield fans for their generous applause for Hull's Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell who did a walk round the touchlines at half time.

You were nearly as loud for him as you were for your team! Great stuff.

Thought this was great to see Luke at half time, as an olypiam its about being top dog hes done it good luck to him and wht I have seen of him seems a top lad.

Just to add that the whole grounds respect for our ex player Dave Hossell was quite moving,i had a tear in my eye as over 8700 stood in silence,thanks for paying your respects so well !

One thing about RL fans is that no matter what the rivalry on the pitch or on the terraces (or plastic seats) is that we all have a sense of perspective, and in times of loss we all stand shoulder to shoulder - it's happened all too often at Wakey in recent years, and I believe that the respect that is shown by fans is some comfort to those who feel the loss most keenly.

The last 2 weeks has been somewhat of a turn round for me, saints from being a great club to watch, have become a right set of whingers and moaners mostley due to Wellens and their coach did not help with his comments.

This week we went to HKR and what a difference (we have been treated like cattle in the past) the atmosphere was completly different and like most say full respect to their club and supporters.

Interestingly there is a thread on the wigan RL fans board relating to how well their fans interracted with ours and thanking us for our friendliness and sporting behaviour in clapping their team for winning the league.They also thanked the hull fc fans for smashing their coaches when they visited the KC. I think that says it all.!
