We got into Super League because we did what we had to on the field straight away and then concentrated on building one of the best infrastructures in rugby league. We accomplished that and got promoted by doing exactly what the system wanted. Steve O'Connor then got Stobart involved to revitalise Super League. Even today there is a convoy going from Widnes all the way to the trafford centre to promote Rugby League itself.

If what your saying is true then rugby league is bent and thats what they're going to promote on Friday in front of Sky TV cameras.

Oh he didn't, the amount of implications was amazing though. The ultimate one being we got our places in Super League unethically. I beg to differ.

The infrastructure is mainly the reason we got promoted, 2million turnover last year says it all.

Quite a few have agreed with 'Bren2k' up to now and yeh it does annoy me.

I want to see Rugby League progress to much more than it is but with people constantly knocking our governing body and...well basically we need to just get on with it, get behind our team no matter what and one day rugby league may be as popular as that other sport, foosball.

Dont get me wrong Im not crying whilst writing this or anything; its just that too many rugby league fans think the world is against the club but I suppose thats easy for me to say with Widnes just being promoted.

We have suffered a LOT in the last few years so we do see it as the world being against us, as it usually is!!

I am chuffed that there is still a way of clubs escaping the Championship and very much hope that your club wont be the last.
All we want is a clear and transparent arrangement surrounding the current franchise system, which currently does not exist.

As it happens, aside from a fundamental disagreement with procedural elements of the licencing process, I welcome Widnes back to SL and think that Mr O'Connor is to be congratulated for keeping his powder dry, taking his medicine and doing exactly what the RFL asked him to do.
