As i said i'm a member, the point is (if you think about it) how can you market a scheme that pays out so little to non-wakefiled trinity fans / fanatics - anyone with half a brain will see the return is very very low. So actually by setting up the scheme as we have we are limiting the potential of the scheme.

You lot call it moaning, i call it thinking practically about how this scheme can grow.

We should look at enhancing the prizes, such as gift vouchers for the shop, hospitality packages etc ASAP.

The whole point of the scheme is to raise funds for the club's youth policy, and at the same time keep the members interested by offering them some incentive for joining, most people are happy to contribute for the sake of the club and not to win a fortune, if it bothers you that much you could always have a flutter on the lotteries' as well, that way you get the best of both worlds.

I agree mate, its all take and very little in return, i don't mind supporting juniors signings and the like but i think they have got it wrong.

If they want it to grow they need to add to the prize list and then use the publicity of the winners to sell it on.

i paid £2 cos id run out of things to wee and moan about this will do me until the franchises are announced.

Thanks Big Al, at least you get the point - which is that i am happy to fund youth development at wakefield but that i can't really sell the scheme to mates etc So essentially this restricts the membership significantly.

Given the prize will only be won every two or three months or so i don't really see this scheme growing only shrinking.

And while i'm happy enough to support the cause and will do you won't sell it outside the club on whats being offered, its called the bigger picture and i would have thought AG would have seen that.

Anyway its gone extremely well and good luck to them on doing this but i do expect some changes in the near future otherwise it will not grow.

and it more it shrinks the least likey it will ever be to grow ..... why can peeps just not sit tight and wait to see if the club can build instead of giving up straight away ?

maybe after july yes your voice will be louder but if you want the club to grow you must be patient

The more I think about it, the less likely I am to bother contacting my bank to sort out the debit details that the club cocked up.

Some of you will probably say i'm just being negative here but putting my name down was an impulse thing at 'the biggest meeting in the club's history'. In the cold light of day it's not that appealing after all!

Not sure how big you think it would get anyway. There's a very competitive market out there for lotteries and gambling in general and I can't imagine that we are in any position to be taking that sort of market on. Schemes like this are designed for supporters so that they can put money into the club at an affordable rate while having the chance to win a bit back.

To be honest the standing order is getting cancelled before the next payment comes out anyway 'cos i've always thought it was a rip off. They were only going to get one quarterly payment off me to help with the membership drive in the forlorn hope that it would help us gain a franchise.

It was stated at the start that we would be adding various other prizes, details will be announced shortly.

For those of us that had the forms returned & had to fill them out again and resend them to banks, how do we know if we have been included in the draws past & future ?????

yesterday I went to the shop to fill my form in,

I didn't approve of the way they pushed it through and it had its problems which I hope they are all resolved now but the funding is correct and it keeps the youth moving.

without funding like this the lads coming through in the Wakefield area are going to struggle so if you have you club at heart have faith in the way its been run now
