| It is baffling how Salford could afford to invest the amount they did in players over the winter and manage to survive with an average crowd of only around 4000 without having a wealthy backer.

| Really sorry to Rain on your parade, But We are not having Financial Difficulties, Dave "Nosey" Parker has got his story very twisted on this one, Everybody has been paid as usual, We are in in the proccess of gaining another 3 year franchise , our stadium is looking fantastic and our team have slowly started showing some promise. Matt Parish has arrived and we can now start laying foundations for next years squad and hoping to finish this year strongly. FWIW John Wilkinson is a "Wealthy" Backer as is Iain Watson who is our director and current owner of the Willows Land (Earmarked for new Godliman & Watson Homes development) . So sorry to those who were getting excited at the prospect of a Salford saving thier Teams bacon, We aint going anywhere apart from onwards and upwards!
Much Love

not what i heard.
if they cant get a.n.other to come on board at new stadium, then salford cannot afford the rent on their own was the gist.
is that not the the case then?

I can assure your Mr John Wilkinson is easily wealthy enough to afford the players wages and all that happened was the wages were delayed by a couple of weeks, they have been paid though.

Have you been to craven park ? I believe there are 2 sides with no cover at all and there capacity is the same as ours.

Yes, have you?
Two modern stands for starters. It is also easy to see how the two open ends could be replaced with stands giving you a ground not dissimilar to Widnes. You have to be realistic here, CP has the ability to be upgraded far more easily and to a far higher standard than BV at a far more affordable cost. Sadly they are at CP, were at BV and not NM and there is your problem - one dream is very attainable whilst the other is still all ifs and buts.

Don't think yours is the club in question, they just play in the same colours as your team.

So council paying for stadium, council give club grant yet players still not paid on time? Sounds fine and dandy don't it!

Its a £20million+ stadium we needed backing from somewhere, and as for the wages no one know's why they wasn't paid on time, it could of been anything, but I'm sure if we were having problems a new coach wouldn't of just signed for us along with the two new players we've signed and Ratchford wouldn't be debating to stay or not.
