| That's a strange situation!
When So1873 agreed to buy the club from the administrator surely they do so knowing what the assets of the club are, for the administrator to then sell some of those assets is surely a breach of some kind.
If I were buying a bookstore from the administrator and the assets included all the books, then the Admin sold half the books would I still be expected to pay the same price?

| Obviously an asset that they could quickly realise for the creditors. Will Millard be the same ?

| Worryingly I imagine that they have set a precident and will listen to and probably accept bids for anyone. So any club who fancies picking up a quick bargain on any og our players will be straight on the phone to them.

Indeed.
I also have quite a burn on my hand after pulling the season ticket back out of the fire.

From what I recall, Crusaders where actually signing players during administration. Richard Moore for one!
Such a shame to see a decent player go, someone that always played above his weight.

Depends if they needed to or not. Perhaps another bill has arrived which needs paying?

| Can't see many on here sticking up for the Administrators. A local company still owes me £12,500, on a personal note, who went into administration years back.

| When this rumour was first circulated, I said it would send totally the wrong message, both to our fans and the outside world, about our outlook and intentions going forward. Now that it's actually happened, I think I was right - selling what is arguably one of our best on-field assets to a rival club at the start of the season hardly feels like a positive statement about our ambitions and potential under new owners.
Further, I agree with Clan; if the deal with 1873 had been done, the administrator wouldn't have been able to subsequently sell a player without that sale being agreed by 1873 as part of the original deal; otherwise, the book store analogy kicks in and 1873 have been bamboozled!
Either way, this bit is interestinghis leaving frees up a quota spot in the squad that will allow us, once we have full control of the Club, to bring in a new front row player'"
Hickey, or someone else?

Does seem odd.
I would imagine new owners were aware on Friday that Obst wasnt included in the assets.

If that's the case then I apologize to TURFEDOUT . But a lot of fans seem to jump in feet first and ask questions later.(me included)

| Thanks for all your efforts Sam. Decent player who always gave 100%. Also remember him having a word with some Hudds fans who were giving him some grief outside the ground, they certainly weren't so mouthy when he was stood right in front of them! Good luck at Hull.

| Sorry to see him go. Great servant to the club. Could easily have been Captain.
Wish you well Sam.

Either way, this bit is interesting:
In LE it states no player imports for 8-10 weeks as so1873 are a new company and paperwork for channels of employment will need to be created.
So limited to British players.
What next? Fergie to Huddersfield and Murph to Hull. The biggest threat to this club is not the RFL and superleague franchise but a free for all assett stripping which leaves us unable to compete at any level.
