Funny old game, many said we had to be near perfect and Wire have an off day. To some extent that happened, but you have to make you're own luck and by God that 17 worked damn hard for that result.

It's not evaluating after 1 game, it's evaluating after successive seasons of worsening mediocrity garnished with the occasional good win.

Superb 80 minute performance from the whole team....stand out players for me were Westerman, Pitts, Josh Wood (the new "poor signings" that some were castigating before we'd even kicked a ball !!!!).
I don't think we had anyone who had a bad game...Rocky went ok at 7 although some of his kicking could have been better, but that is nit-picking to be fair...onwards and upwards....well done boys

Big wraps to Max, terrible conditions for a full back, did the basics well, one error from a kick that came down with snow on, but still a lot less than Ratchford our England international, well done Max

I reckon we made as many errors as we did at HKR, but yet beat a much better team!! Who cares!! That win was all about guts and effort, well done lads

I was hoping for a close game or to keep the score down but what a performance from the full outfit. We bossed the game in defence which gave us confidence to attack properly in the second half. Excellent metres made from the pack and the backs. They were definitely rattled and couldn’t reply in a fashion a usual Warrington would.

By the way how good is it to see TJ with open space in front of him.

built on defence and effort, we looked the stronger team throughout. Thought jowitt was excellent, Webster man was my mom, but couldn’t argue with Pitts. Ashurst ran some excellent lines.

Miller and the left edge were excellent in the second half, bill carried plenty of ball up

Having said that if we want to build on this we really do need to do something about our last tackle and kicking game. Don’t know who was worse Hampshire or Miller.
