| I know what you are saying. It will be interesting to see how Fox goes this season.

| Is Walshaw too slow for the wing? He'd take the ball up strongly and wouldn't have difficulty with the high ball...

| Ok fair enough.
What about trying to get Menzie Yere, Will Sharp or Miles Greenwood for wing?
All from championship and take some tackling plus can score tries? Appreciate it'll come down to costs etc though that we can't afford an unproven player from lower leagues financially.

| Don't think Walshaw is cover for the backs, played wing once and that was at against Hemel.

We need to be fishing for lower league players like this for a wing spot for competition with Lynne and Fox (and full back cover) who are reaching their peak and would like another go at Super League probably?....

| I was given to understand that we had Will Sharp sorted, before the RFL stepped in to save Mr Glover from himself; that one may resurface now that things are a bit steadier?

| Just viewed 8 min highlights of Sharp on U Tube.
Looks quick , elusive, runs well out of defence and seems pretty assured under high ball.
Probably do good job for us.

Agar more than most knows a Will Sharp and what he is capable of...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Sharp
Hull coach Richard Agar went on to say. "He is a talented, young and ambitious player. ...... He has the ability to carry the ball well and has strength and speed which will be great assets for us next season and I don't think it will be long before he establishes himself as a crowd favourite.".....
........In April 2013 Will signed for ambitious Championship club Featherstone Rovers. He signed a 6-month deal......Then Rovers coach Daryl Powell compared him to former rugby league and rugby union superstar Jason Robinson. Sharp appeared to make an immediate impact with the fans due to his fearless and committed style of play. This earned him the nickname 'Sugar Ray'.
Maybe Will Sharp wrote the above himself? Admittedly he looks good on video footage of some of his games. Worth a punt IMHO hopefully this will be another announcement in the next week or so. We'll then have Sharp, Lynne and Fox to compete for 2 wing positions.

| Seems to be a strong rumour that Will Sharpe is on RFAs radar . (being ex Hull I suppose he would be) having seen him a few time this season at Featherstone I don’t think he would be a bad option , as he plays a similar game to Charlie . but I have the same question as I asked MC at the last forum . WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR OWN .No Danny Cowling an outside back No Liam Kay( all though originally at Bradford) and STILL no news on another who accepted the offer put to him the week after the CAS game .

| Did Kaye accept the offer a week after the Cas game?
I thought he knocked it back?

As a point of interest, I was having a coffee outside the ridings shop on Saturday and they were replaying the Cas game. I finished up watching most of it and I was reminded how really well Liam Kay played. Makes you wonder who
is out there that would be better value for money.

I couldn't agree more, I've always rated him and I find him a genuinely exciting player.
However many things about the Liam non signing annoy me.
At the end of the day the deal we offered may have been less than for example Leigh but it's still a chance to play in SL.
When you consider Jason Demetriou packed his bags up and moved over here to try his luck with Chorley as have a long line of Aussies it makes you wonder whether Liam has the ticker and the desire.
If RL for him is just a job then fine but is that the kind of player we want? Where is the desire to prove yourself which is what is needed at the top level.
I just don't get it, years as a fringe player then a guaranteed squad place beckons on the back of just one good performance and he legs it to almost certain Championship obscurity.
Why not take the crappy 1 year deal we are offering, back yourself and play as well in your next 10 games and you can name your price. That's how it used to work, one game was never enough to guarantee you a big pay day and on this I fully agree with Agar. You can't hand out big deals on one SL game.
With Kay I'm genuinely disappointed because I feel he's not got the ambition and guts to match what I feel is his genuine ability. I know some will criticise me but he is typical of many young English players and their greedy agents.
Very sad as we are both losers.
