| Best days are long behind him. Don't think he ever recovered from that Willy Mason punch.

| Au contrair (sp) I reckon he's an expensive gamble that just might pay off. He looked fit, sharp and hungry when he came back and he seems to have the appetite - we already know he's got the attitude.
Not for us - we couldn't afford the risk - but may well pay off for Hudds!

Someone tried to pull this off the other week with another player and it didn't work.

| Very pleased we didn't sign him. Great player a long long time ago but lost it when he suffered a personal tragedy and will never fully get it back IMHO. It's a shame because he was a goodun.
He's not awful and may work for Hudds but we really need more than he can offer. I also feel that a high profile star-ish player like him might upset the ethos at the club. I don't see him as a player used to roughing it at one of the "lesser clubs" he simply won't have experienced that side of the game.

Can't argue with that. We are definitely in the play safe bracket when it comes to picking up players. He would have been a bit of a gamble, but it could pay off for giants.

| Looks like we'll be going all out for Justin Poore then - I wouldn't have minded Fielden for a year, but I take the point about risk.

I haven't seen anyone say it yet as it is far too obvious, but I'm not ashamed. If he signs it will be a poor signing for the wildcats.

I agree, far too risky for us but if he can stay fit, even though his glory days are behind him he's still a better than an average SL prop. With having almost 2 years off from playing, the break off could revitalize his career because he's going to be certainly hungry and shouldn't have any of those niggling injuries that most players have from playing week to week, it definitely could pay off for Hudds.
