| I will wait and see what resources he has to work with before deciding that, not too fussed about the play offs because we are having a big change of personell in the line up. Most important for me is get the youngsters coming through and hopefully improve our discipline on the field along with a brand of rugby I would like to watch wether we win or lose, I pay to be entertained. Do hope Morro gets the assistant as I can not offer my support to Chester in any way we May as well ask the pony tailed gimp from over the common along as well.

| Think it will be impossible to get in the top 8, We will not finish above Wigan, Saints, Warrington, Leeds, Huddersfield, Catalan or Hull. So that leaves one place Hull KR, Salford, Bradford, Quins all look to have nuch stronger squads than us. So I would like to see us finish above Widnes, to see Walshaw, Trout, Anakin and Speirs get 10 or so matches, and to reduce the points against to say 500. This would be a massive improvment.

| I think the first thing he has to do is change the culture and mentality. The last 18 months I've lost count of the games we've conceded 30-40+. He has sort out our defence and make us a difficult team to beat. Better fitness and conditioning will be a big part of this.
I'd like to think we could get to playoffs but if we can at least be competitive and not give up once we let in a couple of tries this would be an improvement.
It's going to be a transitional season so I wouldn't be too upset if we don't acheive playoffs and we are not blessed with the best playing squad but if we can start playing decent rugby, not letting in soft tries (and finish above Cas) I'll be happy.

| I would say that to be pushing for the top 8 is about all we can realistically expect given the circumstances.
In agreement with other posters though, I will settle for a good team ethic, a more entertaining style of play, and the promotion of some of our youngsters to 1st team duties.
The year after I would be looking for a further improvement on league position and to be pushing top 6.
Let's not forget where we are starting from, behind everyone in terms of quality and recruitment. Even Widnes have been able to recruit from a stronger position than us.

| Top 8 is a must if we want to progress as a club. After that it really will depend on where we are (Newmarket, hopefully) and what resources Agar is given.
Only then will we know how good he is.
Although we do want to develop and keep our good youngsters, what we really want is some stability and a play off spot and then progress from there.

| For next season to be competitive in every game and be challenging for the top 8, playing an attractive brand of rugby and finally have a decent defensive structure. Beyond that make the play-offs in the following two seasons, in at least one of which we win a game or two. Also to do this whilst development our much vaunted young players and holding on to them when they have some success.

| Anyone who expects WTW to get a top 8 finish is crazy!
Next year has to be a stabalising year IMO. You have not signed that great a players so far and I dont think the ability of your squad will be much different next year to this.
However, they key next year is getting people playing as a solid unit and together. Higher fitness and determination. This will get you a few points.
If your with reach of the top 8 with 3 or 4 games to go. Thats a success. Then push top 8 2013.
Wish you all the best though, like Wakey

I have never seen a season where we have been competitive in every game can't see that this coming year or ever.

If you exclude Huddersfield games, there have been seasons when we have done it!!

| Depending on the standard of recruitments still to be made, challenging for top 8 would be a decent improvement.
That plus an improvement in the standard of game we play would do me.
By the end of his three years if we are regular challengers for 6-8 i think he will have done a very good job.
I think its important we remember our place in all of this, no money no funds no players no improvement.
Get them Season Tickets bought and back the club and the new coach!!!

| Think the first thing that Agar must do is sign a half back that can move us about the field so that at least we look as though we can score most times we get the line,I also think that we must at least be challeging for a top eight spot.

| The first thing that needs to change is the culture and outlook of the entire playing staff - attitude, professionalism, fitness, strength, determination, pride etc - all of these things must be instilled from the bottom up and personified by every single member of the team in everything they do. Mr Agar's well publicised tough stance on discipline and behaviour will contribute to that; if a player a) doesn't perform or b) misbehaves, he should be dropped and punished, regardless of who he is.
I think that for next season, we need to develop a system of becoming hard to beat before we start looking for flair and attacking rugby; we need a defence that is fast, ferocious and totally unforgiving - get up in their faces and close down space for those players who can do damage - much like Wire did to Wigan, resulting in even Tomkins S looking very average.
If we can get that right, we should at least avoid the humiliating drubbings that we've been handed every week for the past 8 or 9 games; WTW fans have shown that they respect effort and endeavour, so if we can get that in place, attacking flair can come later - we'll support the team if they can be seen to be working hard and playing with pride.
Whatever systems and processes Mr Agar introduces, we must never see another season like the last 1.5 seasons.

| Quote: miamivice "So now we know who is leading us next year, i wonder what all of us would consider to be an improvement, what would (realistically) richard agar have to do to win you over.
ok anything is an improvement on what has gone this year, and we can't finish any lower, but we should aim higher.
For me, it would have to be a minimum of play offs, and not just getting in in the last week.
i believe (i hope) that we will play a different style of football, but that may be more down to the change in personnel rather than the change in coaches.
i want to see a shake up in the coaching set up, better fitness and conditioning. some more modern ideas injected into the club.
i also want to see some of the youngsters given a chance, and faith shown in them.
-----
however i do not believe that we will get the above as agar has done his "apprenticeship" under our last coach and Jon sharp, who i did not rate. i fear we may find that we end up with a JK clone.
time will tell, but he is under pressure from day one.'"
for me it would be a Salford type season the play offs would be fantastic but lets get real in year 1 it would be a big ask
