here's another way for those that have kids playing at local clubs, pick up a pile and drop them off at the club house bar that's if the club haven't already

Big pat on the back for NGBC for doing what he can, sadly the call to arms last week for the Hudds game from our club and ST fell on deaf ears, only 1 person made any effort to help out.

Seems to me this is last chance saloon and we all know but still people talk the talk, then stand back and let others do it.

And the ones that stood in the rain will at some point in the future be called "club puppies" and torn to pieces on here.


No doubt i'll get the usual responce on here but i'm sick of the excuses, past caring, shoot me.

I handed out leaflets at the Huddersfield match (in the rain ) and to be fair I got a good response. Many said they would join and three filled them in there and then and gave me them back. The leaflets I had left over I took home and dropped through letterboxes in Kirkhamgate. If the club wants I will drop leaflets in all the houses in the village if it helps get members. It doesn't take long and I have been told of at least three people who are willing to sign up because of it. I have been surprised by the number of people who still think they are contributing to Wakefield Trinity by giving money to the old lottery (National Sports Development or something) which apparently still operates in the village.

I agree. I feel there is an untapped market of Trinity supporters who, for various reasons, don't attend matches, but would be able to contribute financially. I know my parents, in Stanley, paid into the other scheme for years.

Not sure whether it would be viable, cost or timewise, but leaflets could be delivered area by area explaining the importance of the scheme and that it is the only lottery that raises funds for WTW. Perhaps with an agent calling in the following few days to sign them up, if they wish. The Standing order would make it much more cost-efficient too, rather than weekly collections.

as i was one of the lucky ones who decided not to go to london yesterday, i ended up in wakefield after visiting the shop at belle vue.

it was good to see both the shop at belle vue (with a slow, but regular stream of visistors) and the store in trinity walk both open. there were also some girls promoting the 1873 membeship scheme, and had managed to sign at least 1 person up.

just positive things.....

As a ST holder and 1873 member can I be counted a third time if I take up gold,silver or bronze membership ?

Why don't the club produce a schematic of the proposed seating plan at Newmarket and then offer fans the chance to pick their reserved seat in the new stadium.

Work out which fans deserve to get priority ie.
1st choice: season ticket holder/Gold member/1873 club members
2nd Choice: season ticketholders/Silver member/1873 club member
3rd choice: season ticket holder/ Bronze member/ 1873 club member
4th choice: season ticket holder/ Gold member or Season ticket holder/1873 club member
5th choice and so on and so on

This would encourage those who are currently non members of anything to join something in order to reserve a seat or to ensure that they can sit together with their mates who have a higher degree of membership.
