| If we're realistically looking at making the top 8 again, games like Crusaders at home are must win games. No excuses!

| If we can beat the teams around and below us and a few wins from the top 5 teams we will be in decent shape.

| Going on the games so far, Trinity have competed in all but against the form teams of the competition. To be within even a small chance of beating the likes of Wigan every player at Wakefield needed to be on the top of their game. Plainly that didn’t happen yesterday.
Every time Trinity have taken a battering they have won the following match. This should be no exception however it will be a very close game. Noble is no mug and he will have watched how the likes of Huddersfield, Warrington and Wigan exploited Trinity’s weakness’ and as such attack them, the saving grace is that the respective quality of the three aforementioned teams and the Crusaders is far apart.
Wakefield should have enough to win. I don’t expect much in entertainment value as the performances appear to have dropped off from earlier in the season. I believe the club are missing Brough in the creativity department. Added to that there has been much upheaval midseason which no doubt has played apart in the lack of direction since he left. This may be a blessing in disguise in that the new combinations will click in the latter stages of the season; the down side is that by the time they do it may be too late to mount a challenge in the playoffs.
I’ll go for a 20 – 12 Wakefield win.

| I agree, we have to expect a win.....however, if the players do as well, we won't get it.
There are a couple of ex Wakefield players in there, and some good strike players on the flanks. We need to be on our game.
Right now we have lost to the top 4 teams and beaten everybody else. I'm happy if we stay that way all season.

| I expect us to carve a win out of this one, but it won't be pretty; at this point in time though, given all the upheaval we're experiencing, two points will do, however we get 'em!

| Wakey by 10 for me. I expect a gritty, no frills type of performance.

We don't seem to have other type of performance at the moment, but it will do for now.

| I think that actually reflects well on the team.
We have lost Brough and Newton from our original plan for the season. We have a little bit of unrest in the club with Tronc possibly leaving. New playmaker arriving that has to find his feet. A few other players not quite on form for various reasons.
Yet we manage to bond as a team to simply grind out the wins by sheer effort, where skills are found wanting. I think that is a reflection of a close knit family, trying to find their way under unexpected issues.
Power to them, and can't wait to see the wingers latching on to the Cooke kicks and passes once they find their timing.

| we can't match wigan, wire etc for speed but I would hope that we have more than an edge over Crusaders.
This will be another game where Jefferies/Cooke/Obst can play together.

Well said that man. Many seem to be glossing over the disruption which the club has had to endure in the season so far. In fact, if you had told me at the beginning of the season we would have only have lost to Wigan, Hudds, Wire and Saints at this stage, I would have taken it, without any of the off field nonsense. I realise the manner of some of the defeats is worrying, but to still be 6th in the table is remarkable given all the off pitch drama the team has had to deal with, I'd even go as far to say we are over achieving!

Its not the table its the nature of our defeats thats hacking me off, week after week we are allowing clubs to run in tries out wide, ok we lost two players but that doesnt excuse our defensive frailty, at the minute any team that takes us on wide seems to be able to score easy tries, was watching yesterday and couldnt work out if we were playing a compressed defence that wasnt man on man marking or a sliding defence that was failing to slide ....
Morton and blanch just seem to be playing without any confidence what so ever, think that the area we miss danny brough most of all is his cover tackling
