Another interesting fact that has passed us all by....

we have travelled over the tops 4 times this season....and won on all 4 occasions....

before a ball was kicked as such, what price would have given us if we'd have said we would go to wigan, saints, warrington and salford and come away with victories on all occasions...

realistically we'd have expected to win at salford and hoped we could get something at any of wigan, saints and wire.

great stuff !!!

... and we don't have any players in the top 25 try scorers..... now that's teamwork icon_biggrin.gif (although I think Atkins has 10? making him joint 25th?)

I can't believe we are 5th, have positive points and have scored more points than any other team other than Saints and Leeds, and have been top 8 virtually all season. This despite two massive tragedies in the last 12 month.

All this with an interim team put together on the cheap that no one realistically expected better than a last minute challenge for 8th spot.

Yet what is the main topic of conversation amongst the Trinity "faithfull"? Who's leaving in the close season and how that will lead to our ultimate doom.

Only Wakey fans could possibly turn such a surprisingly good season with so much still to offer into a wake.

If I'd have known what a bunch of negative club baiting fans Trinity had I think I'd have picked a different club to support when I discovered RL I'm sad to say. Anyone would do as they are all more positive than us, Cas, Leeds even Dewsbury or Batley as they all in there own way know how to support and enjoy their club.

It's taken me many years to realise it but it's not the team, or the Chairman or Cas or Leeds or the RFL or the Ref who rob me of the pleasure of supporting Trinity, it's Wakefields sizeable minority of fans who simply love things to be bad and will find any reason for a moan or manufacture a reason to moan.

Enjoy what's left of this season without worrying about next season ffs, you never know you might really like it icon_idea.gif

Go for the throat Vasty! icon_wink.gif

Good post though. Do we need a reasons to be cheerful thread again?
That perks the doomers up! icon_cool.gif

As far as I am aware we have been in the top 8 all season.
Great achievement. I'm very proud of my club!

The fans who do are in it for the love of the club and the support generated is magnificent compared to the graveyard that is BV. I'd say that is fairly unique amongst established clubs, where home support is usually an advantage, that has rarely been the case at BV and there in lays the difference IMHO.

That is the case for the prosecution - I get your point but I still think I'm right on this one.
