4 players from 34 wore tights. The players that didn't have not complained about the pitch. Veivers said, in an interview on radio 5 live, that he had no problem with the pitch or grazing.

They were Salford players. They were obviously concered about the hype. I suspect they may have a different view now, as none of the others, who didn't wear tights, have complained about severe grazing. The Widnes players, who know the pitch, didn't wear tights.
What's the problem? |

You don't have to sodding well reply to every sodding comment about the sodding ipitch; I'm beginning to think that you either have some financial stake in the sodding company that manufactures the sodding thing, or there really is some kind of thoughtcrime unit operating out of sodding Widnes.

I've just explained to you that there was no need for them to wear tights. None of the others have complained about severe grazing. They were just making sure, because they'd never played on it before. Eventually, once players get used to it, they won't bother. There is a problem when we have freezing temperatures, but that's the same with turf.
All I'm saying is that people need to be sensible and stay calm until there is more evedence. Condemning it on ignorance and supposition doesn’t make sense. Particularly as this could turn out to be lucrative and incredibly important to the financial health of the sport.
