| Quote: Slugger McBatt "Now a cynic would say that it is shrewd tactics, worthy of, say, a double glazing salesman. Get twice as many people signed up as previous based upon a target you probably won't reach. On 1st October, ring everyone up and give them the hard sell, and if you keep 75% of them, you've increased your season ticket sales by 50% and at full price.
Just saying, like
I was thinking the same, but if say 2200 bought before the deadline then I would be tempted to put ST price up to £120. And ask for the £20 or a refund. I would like to think that nearly every one would pay that £20 extra.
The season hasn't ended till next week. I'm sure the ST offers will be advertised more. Probably inn the run up to Xmas.
would be interested to see how many are bought at last home game. Shop needs to be manned well.

OK if you're making a once in a lifetime sale with little chance of repeat custom but not for an organisation wishing to make multiple sales to the same group.'"
Exactly what I was about to say.

You would have thought that there would be a big splash on the home page promoting 2012 season tickets (not memberships)! The casual visitor would just give up if it is not in yer face.'"
Agreed..
I went looking for it on website and eventually gave up after pressing buy tickets.. it's not obvious and it should be it really should.

You press the "membership" button, not the tickets.

And here's me thinking I was buying a ticket to a game and not a 'membership'!?

You are applying to become a member of the club, of which there are three tiers. The Gold membership gets you into all of the games, and the silver and bronze get you into fewer.
I think it's a spin off from the membership requirements of the RFL, and so by offering limited season tickets (bronze memberships) you increase your membership by offering cheaper versions, rather than the all or nothing nature of season tickets.

| Having just read the email from the club about membership prices, I wonder if the people in the shop misunderstand the offer. There is nothing in the email that even hints that you might be asked to pay more, and in fact it makes clear that the payment of £100 was "payment in full".

"We can only promise to keep the price down if we get the 2500 fans. If less than 2500 supporters become a member, season ticket prices will revert back to last years early bird price of £175 adults, £95 Concessions and £20 juniors"

| Quote: bigalf "Hope this helps Slugger:
When a shop has a January sale, they don't go asking for the customers who bought in January for more money when the sale has ended. I read that as meaning that if you buy after 30th September, the price might have gone up. In law, I don't think they would be able to ask for more money.
My email said "Payment is required in full for this fantastic offer." I have, therefore, paid in full, and that was £100.
The problem is that in law, I think the club are wrong if that is what they are doing. The bigger problem for me is that if it is a misunderstanding, people may be put off because of the risk of being asked for more money.
There is not one statement anywhere in writing that says you will be asked for more. It is advertised as a time-limited offer.

| The A-boards around town can plug a gym but not the season ticket offer. That needs sorting.

| When the coaching position is announced , then there should be one massive ticket promotion push that should be extended to the end of October to let everyone get used to the new coaches plans & future signings.
