Let's see how many demands are made from the new owners from people who have been very happy with the last 10 years.'"

I look forward to see your response to the new owners should we see only little change or lack of progression (which of course I hope will not happen).

Not going over old news again .But the reason why we are in the Championship is down to the shocking coaches we have had over the last 4\ 5 years . and there decisions on there recruitment . They have all moved on ,Think it is time we all moved on ,and got behind the new owner as one .As a post as all ready said ,they had give up hope for the club when it was nailed on we were going down .We now have hope with this take over

Why does this keep getting dredged up? It’s been done 1000s of times so idk why people can’t let it drop and look forward. The horse has been truly flogged.

Also it wasn’t the coaches mostly. I think MC said he did plenty of the recruitment and got a fair bit wrong in hindsight. Regardless, it didn’t work and we are on the verge of a new regime. Time to just accept it and all just move on.

If the new owner doesn’t deliver the same group will be onto him like a rash so plenty fun to be had for them if that happens.

I already am fully behind him, and have been looking forward to it for about 4-5 months now

Quote: Eastern Wildcat "Correct.

They have done absolutely nothing to improve this.

You cant just go with an attitude of people will come, ultimately good performances help, and a winning team helps.

Sometimes though, dangling a carrot helps. We dangle nothing. I was at Wigan earlier, and they have adult season tickets priced for 2024 at something like £220. Had we have stayed up , a seated ticket in the east stand would probably set be back for pushing £100 more.

I know MC and JM arent made of money, but neither are I, or the other die hard supporters. In turning to us every time isnt the right way to go from our current fan base to bigger numbers. In somweways that carrot needs dangling

Sadly people have stayed away too , due to the poor attitude of certain people at the club. Hopefully, the club can re engage with these to bring them back. That would be a start.

Thankfully, someone finally is prepared to do this, on top of my comments earlier and run it professionally.'"

We've done cheaper tickets before. We ended up on the brink.

You can have a go at Carter all you like but there is absolutely no doubt he handles our finances better than anyone has ever done at the club and probably better than most in Super League.

What does any company do to improve the accounts they reduce the wage bill which he has done more than once since taking over from his boss. The problem is you can only visit that well of money so many times before it catches up with you. With us this resulted in relegation because of the squad he admitted to picking.
I am sorry to burst the bubbles of many because if we were left in the hands of the incumbents how long would we survive. They don’t have the skills to run the off field business and we will still have to service the loan on the ground and from the government. With regards the latter he should have applied in the name M Mouse because it worked for many other both existing and nonexistent businesses with the treasury.

The £220 I mentioned earlier, is vastly different to the £100 that was charged for the 2012 season, decided by the board which included Carter FACT, and he was happy posting on here quoting numbers sold ANOTHER FACT.

I'm not sure what your point is.
At best you are saying he learned from that so not doing it now is a good idea.

You can't compare Wigans price policy to ours. They have historically got far bigger crowds than us which allows more flexibility on price.

I'm sure Ellis will have an accountant to work this out but if he wants to go with big discounts he'll be funding the difference so it's his choice

So what you are saying make the supporters continue to pay because it will save him money. I know the incumbents wanted to maximise a supporter’s contribution whilst giving little in return.

They also have backers that makes Ellis look poor. One of the top S L teams yes ,but one of biggest S L teams in det

I think supporters always have to pay. I'm not sure what you are expecting.

Also, I'm giving up on this bring a team sheet thread, there will have to be a rethink on season tickets this year for everyone.

A season ticket helps cash flow so is important, especially to teams like us, but doesn't help IMG scores for either finances or attendance.

To buy a season ticket means you have purchased admission to the game in advance and it could be argued should be counted in the attendance figures. I would expect most clubs record those entering the ground with a season ticket therefore if you have sold 1000 but only 800 are recorded you increase the attendance figures by 200.

Paying commit 6 all year and having selected my seat I am
Interested to see exactly how that will work out for next season.

I hope the transition of data and seats is seemless. All I did was agree it through club shop picking my seat for next season in stand.
