| Quote: RickK "Even a 10k capacity can look bare when its 5/6k in. The design can incorporate tiered segments so you manage how the seating/standing areas are used always ensuring the lower tiers are filled before any upper areas, LSV has a capacity of 11k and even during their brief stopover in SL had to close segments down which reduces your operating costs and makes it look a bit tidier'"
We could save a pokey corner for the visit of Hull FC fans.

| I guess we would follow Warrington's lead, build with 4 sides and then fill in the corners if\when demand grows.

Or build two stands down the touchlines, leave the ends until such funding comes forward.

| Quote: vastman "The big money where grants etc are concerned is in education - a sports/learning centre would get s lot of funding. Retail is a bit old hat as Wakefield I’d not short of such things and there is ample land near BV on the bypass for that kind of stuff.
Just how I see it, community/education is where it’s at and I’d far more likely to get council support.'"
Yes, certainly to attract grants to help with cost of the stadium build plus, right now, participation in sport, especially women's sport, which is the current flavour of the month.
Decent bar's and corporate are hugely important as far as matchday revenue and income from other events, especially if we try and attract and bands etc and most importantly we have to secure the revenue for bar takings etc, something that other clubs dont get as it's often taken by stadium management companies.

It’s been very noticeable to me how much effort our relatively cash strapped club has put into community projects, way beyond the minimum. Women’s team, disabled teams and loads of participation - very much the community HUB.
Leads me to believe and I may be wrong is that is the angle the club are running at. Very hard even for Box to ignore these worthy but very of the moment causes, so beloved of Corbyn and co.
Not politically digging as I’m all for positive stuff like sport and well being in lower income areas - the club is very much offering the service the council can’t be bothered too. This is why I believe we are now getting some though probably nowhere near enough from our council.
It’s a slow burner but it might just work.

| Education, football, and art are 3 of big sources for grants, if we can have a learning centre in the new stadium and an arts space we would be able to secure funding. It would be ideally placed for arts as its within walking distance of the Hepworth.

Nothing wrong with that, that's how Catalans started and they looked okay, keep the flats as until when and there you have a tidy little stadium.

This could help with the Neil Fox statue as well

| I'm not bothered what the capacity is or what the finished article looks like as long as there is at least one side and corner for standing spectators. Sitting down at RL games?? Nah!!!

Some of us are getting on a bit and carry aches and pains from years of hard graft and standing for 80 minutes takes its toll so seating is a blessing to some of us

| Mid forties BLM, but i still like to stand. Cant do with it when the person next to you is constantly up and down because they need a pee, or are so desperate for another pint.
Going back to earlier comments re Lidl and Aldi. That i know of, there is a Lidl in Fev, Normy and Ossett, and as for Aldi, I think Batley Road, near Rhubarb Triangle and Asda.

My head says Im still 21 when Im in the gym, but Mrs EW reminds me, and so does my body too that Im not.
Maybe because Im sat at my job, i feel the need to stand more at other times.
