| The difference between Tom and Ainscough is between the lug oils Ive known Tom a while and he's the most level headed and polite lad I've known, given the responsibility of the No2 shirt.I can assure it wasn't the money that kept him at Trin so I think a massive pat on the back for Tom and the Wakey board for making this deal possible when others were after his services.I'll have a bob on Tom being the leading try scorer for Trin next season and well up there in the overall SL scorers.

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "I believe that he showed sufficient last season to suggest he will be a star of the future. I think signing him to a four year contract could be a shrewd move because I expect him to attract much attention from the usual suspects. We have ensured that if any club wants to sign him they will have to pay or wait four years.'"
We have a winner!
There's far too much attention on his nascent talent (of which he has plenty) and not enough understanding of the business aspect of this deal; we've clearly made an investment in him and in return, he's signed a longer than average deal so that if he does get an offer he can't refuse, we get paid. It's good to see us thinking like this - well played MC and Co.

Yeah there's been a bit of a gap hasn't there. Fletcher and Juliff were good however and perhaps Andy Wilson since.

Not in the same class as Prinsloo, F Smith & Co but Bostock was good to watch and put the fear of God in his opposite number.
Sovatabua and Tadulala were good players too, Rotherforth was raw but had the ability to terrorise defences with sheer speed and a low centre of gravity.

It was 1980, one of my top twenty memories, the score finished 5 - 2.
We were under the cosh for the majority of the game.

Was this the one where Clive Sullivan made a hash of grounding the ball in the corner and Fletch picked it up and went full length with Sullivan in vain persuit?

I was behind the sticks at the other end of the ground, so not sure of the circumstances, I just remember Fletch running towards me & my brother-in-law trying to calm me down as we were surrounded by distraught Hull fans.

The game I'm thinking about was at the old Craven Park v Hull Kingston Rovers.
