Surely 'Once Upon a time in the west' has to have the best soundtrack ever written?'"
That and "The good ,the bad and the ugly."
One of the best lines in `Once upon a time in the west.`
"We seem shy of one horse."
"No,you brought two too many."

saw them live in Paris and they were really cr@p,IMO of course - I was expecting something like Uriah Heep or Sabbath but it was a bit of a let down.
agree with The Who but never saw Meatloaf so can't say.I don't mind their music though I do find it a bit 'samey',if you know what I mean ?
Saw The Quo recently and they were sensational,as good,if not better than in the 70s when I last saw them IMO

Great line. One of many.
I have all the soundtracks to the 'Dollars trilogy' and 'Once upon a time trilogy.' Every one of them are outstanding. A fistful of Dynamite sounds very early Floyd in parts.
Every scene in Once upon a time is just perfect, Leone tried to create an oil painting from every angle and the actors had the awe-inspiring soundtrack fired at them during the scenes to play off it.

| Quote: barton baird "Paranoid by Black Sabbath is a particularly good album to listen to whilst driving i.m.o.
Especially Iron Man,good for gentle headbanging ,but at the same time not distracting whilst driving.
If I could go off at a tangent,a great album for me would be,
Paranoid,Black Sabbath.
Bad to the bone,George Thorogood and the destroyers.
Ace of spades, Motorhead.
Since youv`e been gone,Rainbow
Sweet child of mine,Guns`n Roses.
Thunderstruck,AC/DC
Let there be rock,AC/DC
Who are you?,The Who.
Bat out of hell,Meatloaf.
Stairway to Heaven,Led Zeppelin.'"
All good songs yes, but you usually get those tracks on a cd free with the Daily Express just before Fathers Day, or a "dad Rocks cd
Couldn't you think of anything more original?

There's a little bit of musical snobbery about that comment though. The reason they are so well known and so popular is that they are great songs, but because they are great songs they are played, and sold, often and that breeds contempt sometimes, especially by those with a deeper knowledge of music.
I agree that some of these songs are a little bit cliche'd, but I'm thankful that they exist and that they are known to a wider audience than the just the musically motivated and that even the relatively un-musical or un-educated (musically) have the chance to listen to them, enjoy them and perhaps become quizzical for more!

Yep - the perfect soundtrack to certain nights out in the 90's.
"Y'know you talk so hip man, you're twisting my melon man."
I still use that expression when someone is causing me consternation.

You're right actually TRB, apologies for the snobbery, I get fed up of hearing them cos there are so many other great songs by those artists and others who get overlooked / forgotten because Paranoid gets played.

A band I too have seen and enjoyed live on many occassions, but of whom I own no albums.
