Well after seeing how pathetic the go forward was last night, I’d say a halfback is the least of our priorities right now.

I don't think I can ever remember a set (that didnt include a mistake) where on the 5th tackle the team was kicking from within their own 10 after having made literally 0 metres. Throughout the game I watched as we perpetually had the backs bringing the ball out on the first 3/4 tackles and routinely getting nowhere, only to not change tack when it was obvious it wasn't working (even more obvious than usual). It's no wonder we can't score when we spend 90% of the game in our own 30/40. Absolute madness.

Only 2 with any go forward were Westy and Tanginoa, rest of the team were completely dominated in the collision, meaning Leeds were allowed that extra few seconds to slow the play of the ball down, although I think Hicks got a few key calls wrong last night, I thought he reffed the ruck to the flow of the game. I saw some comments on Lino, I thought he made some errors but his performance was desperate and I`m not sure what we can expect from him in terms of a kicking game when we give him the ball on the last tackle, on the back foot on our own 20.

On Leeds, I don`t think I have ever seen a team play as bad as that and come away with a win, seriously, they dominated possession, field position but looked as clueless as we have done this season with ball in hand, almost every time they picked the wrong option (Which is out of the ordinary for Gale) and were full of errors forcing play and whenever we got within 30 of there line we looked like scoring, outside backs looked to have zero confidence in there inside man.

Any body no what happens when Tanginoa was was tackled then throw the ball to the ground and went after the Leeds player. The ref then gave the penalty to Leeds

Ref wasn`t interested in listening to Tanginoa for some reason was he? I think he was trying to tell him that the Leeds player had his hands in his face which is what I thought.

As petty as some of the penalties were at times last night we should have been home and dry well before the last ditch effort by Pitt’s which I thought was legit by the way . Never seen a Leeds team so devoid of ideas and were there for the taking . You simply couldn’t fault our effort and commitment especially in the first half where we were constantly tackling on our line to keep Leeds out ,just a bit more savvy in our attack and we’d have come away with the win in regular time ,and not suffered that heartbreak ending . HKR can’t come soon enough for me ,fitness ,effort,
Commitment are their for all to see we just need that elusive win .

If there’s any truth into it and not speculation simply because Fages is linked with Huddersfield, then it’s likely to be Gaskell. I guess there’s a small chance it could be Cogger but I doubt that.

I’m not sure I’d want either of them, we need a Finn/Brough half if we’re to be looking there rather than the forwards.

Gaskell aint a bad but a better fullback and no hes not the type we need
