just watching magic Broncos v Hull (who look as inept and disorganised team as I have seen at this kevel in a while) Rourke looks a decent prospect, if a little raw... Tbh he looks more like a three quarter to me... big fast and raw boned
Stunned how many ex trinity players are out there

I agree, he has all the attributes to make a great centre. Even though he is also a good full back

Looks like he could transition to centre.
Seems we are trying to turn Booth into a centre though I think Booth would be a good wing option.
Doesn’t hurt to have plenty of potential around the club. Hopefully we are the right environment to develop them.

| Having watched Rourke admittedly on tv he looks just what we need, he’s scored 7 in 7 playing for worst team in super league, good under high ball , a decent bit of size and pace be a great signing for us. We still only have a an announced signed squad of about 19 (if you exclude booth lawford smith ) even adding in Rourke parcell truman plus possibly extending couple existing players we still would only have a squad of about 26 , given what has happened to us over last few years with typically 7-8 of our starting 17 injured for most of season we can’t get enough cover

I agree but there is a lot of versatility in that 19, nearly all can play two positions well. I think Powell has stated that he is looking mainly for multi talents players to help fill inevitable gaps. Used to work for Kear. I accept we need a few specialists, but in the modern game it’s the way to go. I expect a squad of around 28 but with few decent lads on reserve deals.

Good player but he's a Lino type player. We need a Gale type player imho

Definitely, if the rumours on Truman are true then I can’t see us being in for another halfback.
Be interesting to see what we do with the final quota spot.
Talking of props I liked the look of Bienek for London.

| Agree with the above - we need to replace Gale, and if Trueman is fit and firing he could become that.
As for an NRL prop, there are quite a few off contract:
Martin Taupau - 34, nowhere near the same strike he had in his prime, but has been rumoured to be moving over to the UK at some point
Liam Knight - 29, solid Jai Whitbread type, no superstar
Isaac Liu - 33, but still solid and could bring some good experience to a young pack
Matt Lodge - 29, penalty machine, battering ram, awful bloke
Mahakesi Makatoa - 31, a slightly less effective Isaac Liu
Jordan McLean - 33, huge presence who doesn't run his weight but is still hard to handle, would be a very interesting addition
Sione Fainu - 23 and not very tested, a bit like getting another Atoni or Vagana in
As for Bienek, I played against him a couple of times, and he's a brilliant carrier of the ball but not that dynamic. There's a reason he didn't kick on at Hull, and he's probably playing well at London because he's home again, playing with his mates.

Interesting this isn't it. I don't really understand the benefit to European rugby league either - any ideas?
I don't think it will positively affect Trin very soon. As far as I can tell, Lino and Walmsley wouldn't come off until 2027, Atoni 2029, and the rest 2030. If we sign Parcell, he'd come off in 2026.
