BUT despite his error,
he made 27 tackles, missing none. Only Crowther, Ashurst, Hood and Kay made more.
And took 14 drives, more than any other player in the team.
So he may not be perfect, but you can't knock his effort for the team. |

Please do not start a pick on Batty day for not playing the ball.Can we stop calling him a championship player, Though is performance was one of the best I have seen from him in a Wakfield shirt, and he looked like a forward who is going to have a good season .Seams like W P Is getting far more out of these players than Me Chester ever did.

I agree about Battye. Some don't like it cos he isn't built like Sam Burgess but he's effective and he gets his job done. I like him. |

I’ve no axe to grind for Jowitt but if you think on the day Tomkins was the better FB then you saw a very different game to me. |
