Quote: PopTart "You missed "that's the worst performance I've ever seen and I've been watching since 1908."'"

I was at the HJS for the game in June last year, and it was that bad of a game that it felt like it had started in the year 1945 rather than the time on a 24 hr clock. Should it take place on Sunday, I just hope that it's a better quality game, as both sides are capable of so much more than they showed that evening.

It's ok to say fans will come on here and slate them .If they are like me ,I have got peed of with the excuse off injury for the last 2 year It's been a case off rushing players back before they are fit so making the next injury long term .Mr Chester was ask to leave HKR because most of the squad was injured and that was after a close season to get them fit .Is quick fix this season was to bring players in we did not need.most pass S L standed, alot of them are now injured ,and contracted to us for one to two more year

Read his post again, then you will see I never said he was an expert, then read my post again where I asked if heaping praise or criticism on any sort of opinion made you an expert, and can I just say that I don't mean you personally. HTH.

That’s my point, it doesn’t but some have agendas against everyone involved with the running of the club when finances dictate

Have you ever thought of replacing those worn out rose-coloured glasses, PT, and changing them for some good ones?

Just how bad do we have to continuously perform before you think that maybe it is time for a change of coaching and training staff? Genuine question.

If the bad performance was an exception that’s fine but unfortunately it is now becoming the norm. We are fast approaching another Webster end of season. If we lose heavily Sunday then it is down to us for playing when it probably could have been postponed.
I accept that some on here will accept a bad performance for what it is but it is those supporters who don’t follow the forum what will they think and how many will believe they have much better things to do than watch a basically boring team losing every week.
I have to admire both Salford and Hull KR who have taken the decision to play attractive rugby. I know they may lose but they do receive plaudits for giving it a go and Salford even won and were entertaining in doing so.
How many of you actually find the way we now play acceptable?

Let's face it. You won't like it whatever they do.
Clearly we are struggling but that is the time to support in my opinion.

I like the way we attempt to play and we get plenty of plaudits for entertaining rugby.

Even when we were cut down with injuries we tried to throw it around. We just need some fit players back and and a run of games together.

I could just as easily ask you when you will be realistic about our money and our injuries.
I'm not against change and I think we could certainly change some players and backroom staff but we don't have the money to do it and I've seen this same team and coach hammer some top teams and I don't want to bale out every time they have a bad run.
I believe sticking together as a team and supporting them is more important than going back to just changing coaches every year and starting with a new team every year.

Have you ever thought of stopping moaning and get behind and support the club?

The 58-0 is certainly getting some getting over because other than that we’ve not been bad this season.

No-one on here accepted that as any kind of performance and neither did the coaching staff.

Other than that though have things really been that bad?

A one point defeat to Wigan on our first game back...

A golden point loss at home to big spending aHull who can just go and sign three big stars from the NRL we could only dream of...

An away win at Salford who were grand finalists last year and coached by Ian Watson who everyone seems to think is some kind of coaching great.

A home win over a star studded Warrington side packed full of big names.

A loss at Cas (what’s new) but a better performance than the bare result suggested...we played really well first half to go in ahead but the game turned on a harsh sin binning that saw Cas register two converted tries while we were a man short...a gap we couldn’t recover from...

First game...yes a disappointing defeat at HKR...

On the whole though I wouldn’t say those results are anywhere near as bad as the doom and gloomers on here would have you believe!

In response, PT, I will continue supporting Trinity for as long as I possibly can and would love nothing more than to see them repeat the success of earlier times, which I was fortunate enough to witness (not as far back as 1908 though),, but what the heck has money and injuries got to do with the way we are currently playing and being coached. Or are you beginning to see yourself that more money would attract a better coach? as for changing coach every year I don't want to see that myself, but CC has now had about four seasons in charge; some of his coaching staff even longer, and we are still continuously scraping through by avoiding relegation more by good luck than good fortune. Are you genuinely happy to see substandard performances match after match, and going home disheartened after yet another poor display? OK, we have hammered some good teams, but sadly we have been on the wrong side of a hammering far more often. You appear to be the eternal optimist and no matter how bad we get your rhetoric would be the same.
I'm sure that we all want the same thing in the long run; a successful Wakefield Trinity

I don't think those that know me would call me a moaner.
I am passionate about Wakefield Trinity and have been for more years than I care to remember. Any way, since when has "moaning", as you say, defined a non-supporter. If any thing "moaning" would indicate ones desire to see ones team strive to perform better more so than those who are quite happy to bury their head in the sand and think that a couple of wins mean that everything is a bed of roses. OK, the HKR, Cas, Wigan & Hull matches were reasonable performances to a degree but the cold facts are that we STILL LOST!!
The fact remains in my opinion that the current level of coaching needs to improve drastically before we can start winning games like those that you mentioned.

I can't be bothered checking the exact stats but I would dispute that we have been "continuously scraping through" during Chester's tenure.

I find it hard to answer that because I think it's really clear that money and injuries make a massive difference.
If you can't pay as much as other clubs for players and coaching staff then either quality suffers or size of squad suffers
The fact we played a centre who although he has potential is probably 5th in line in the centre with a winger on debut and 2 training sessions and the other winger being a full back and part time half back tells you we are down on quality players.
If you could play our strongest back line we'd be better. It's as simple as that.
Same goes for forwards.

And as for the coach of course, if we had unlimited funds I'd have Ricky Stuart or Craig Bellamy..... But we haven't. So I'd rather stick with what we have for now.
