| If he wants to come he will ask to Leave. He'd be a great appointment but it might take time if we are acting correctly, unfortunately we are running short on that.

I'm not convinced he has the level of experience to deal with what we have. Perhaps another time, but not for now!

| Can't really see why so many people are clamouring for Morrison. I liked him as a player, shame he was at the back end of his career when he played for us but gave his all. I just think it's almost replacing like for like with JW, just not enough experience for all that's going on down there at the mo.

Really!
I'll tell you why - personality..
It's no longer about proper coaching, in the modern game it's far to late to repair the fitness gap or instigate a new game plan etc.
It's all about quick fixes. Hence the interest in Kear and Morrisons, both individuals with charisma, leadership abilities and a desire to win.
See the above as to why it's nothing like replacing like for like - Agar and Webster may have been technically sound but both were defeatist.

So how was Agar being defeatist when we won 7 games straight in 2012 that got us in the play offs?!

It's a lot of both in my opinion!
You are 100% correct on the personality and charisma comment, the first thing the team will need is someone who fills the changing room even before anyone else is in there. Strong, disciplined and capable of walking both paths, mentor and executioner, at the same time!
That approach will only carry this squad so far though, they need to have defensive and offensive structures trained into them from day 1. Game by game the two seperate approaches will steadily improve the performances. Any players who don't want to do the work or make the changes need telling straight, no cloak and dagger stuff or ambiguity it should be clear as a bell "my way or the highway" no matter who it is

Going back to the word 'defeatist' I think maybe you should actually look at the definition of the word before labelling people with it. I seriously doubt any coach, manager of any sporting club is defeatist. Two teams, two individuals, competing against one another can have the same amount of desire, ability, will to win, whatever, they both can't win can they obviously. I played someone at draughts the other night, I wanted to win, probably as much as the other person, but don't know that for sure because i'm not them am I obviously?! I lost, it wasn't because I was defeatist, I lost because they were better than me on that occasion, I was defeated, not defeatist......

I was exaggerating my point but charisma is the number one requirement for this season - it's the only thing that might turn this lot around and even then I can't guarantee it.

So you don't think in any way Websters attitude and comments this season have been negative - I'll substitute that word for defeatist if it helps you.
Agar left with the comments that he couldn't do any better with the players he was able to buy, this despite the biggest budget ever for a Trinity coach. If he in anyway conveyed that belief to the players how do you think they would respond - again a very negative attitude.
Under Kear we didn't have many SL standard players however Kear convinced most of them they were - positive!
Brough has played well for Hudds but better for us - why? Because Kear convinced him he was the best SH in SL and for a while he probably was.
Clubs like us can't afford self motivating players so a positive attitude from the coach is absolutely critical IMO.

| That's why it has to be Kear if we want to rescue this year.
I think Morrison would be a great coach and with the block from Dewsbury, strating him for next season suites him better as well.
Kear doesn't seem to have ruled himself out yet, but it would have to be a good deal for him.
He is clearly better than Batley (with the greatest respect to the team and town), but it is a nice little job for him and I wouldn't give it up easily for a temporary post if I was him.

| Don't see J K having a go on anything less than a 18 month contract and why should he. That way he can hopefully plan for another season in S L. It would also provide a bit of stability.

| The few Batley fans that I know have said they'd be happy to see Kearney leave
