| Listen Jacques, we stood together at Wembley in 68. How bad was that feeling!
Maybe our feathers have been burnt too many times to be a phoenix, who knows.
I am either too optimistic or just simply deranged, but I think something will come up, Mrs Micawber!
There are good lads around the leagues looking and waiting for the chance to shine. Many of John Kear's last "no hopers" squad are earning a crust in Super League now. Sure, more will go but others will come. Just think of the Pearman false dawn and all the big hitters we signed.
2014 will be a test of coaching mettle but we WILL be there.

| Thanks for the response everyone.
Yep feeling low re.Trinity but still got season ticket, although I only get to a few games, and will be contributing in as many ways as I can to help the Trinity cause.

| I'm down on the RFL rather than the club. The lack of them being able to sell the game to any main sponsor, imposing rules on clubs that cripple them financially only to remove them later (would we be in this mess if we hadn't spent it all on the roof?) and the possible introduction of what I think is a stupid and confusing change to the league and I'm quickly losing interest.

More than likely. It could've saved Andrew Glover a decent amount (if he subsidised the cost, is this what his 600k loan to the club is for?).

Like everyone else I'm feeing a little despondent at times and have to dig deep to find some reserves of positivity to keep me going.
When I look at the team as it stands today, it's still fairly competitive and certainly not bottom two material, factor in some siege mentality, which we do best, and with players not worrying about being paid and we could surprise a few next year, including ourselves.
As it stands our line up looks like,
Mathers
Fox, Collis, Smith, Cockayne
Sykes, Goulding (or overseas signing)
Poore, Aiton, Raleigh
Kirmond, Lauitiiti
Washbrook
Wildie, Smith, Tautai, Lyne, Anakin, Walshaw, Trout, Kaye?
Even if we lose a couple from that team it's certainly not the worst squad we've had in recent seasons.'"
You forgot to mention Mellars who has another year on his contract!
I think we're going to lose 7 out of the 21 names you mentioned if even half the rumours are true as a few are on big contracts allegedly which is why Aiton is going. It'll come down to their cheaper replacements and whether there is sufficient quality to be competitive. If we lose Poore we'll have only 2 props in the 'squad' and we'd need 4/5 IMO.
Cockayne to HKR (terms agreed but no contact in last few weeks)
Aiton and Poore (possibly) to Leeds (funny prop Moore released today coming the other way?)
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=560423&tsmp=1382462285&start=10
Kay out of contract and gone to Fev Rovers?
Tautai on a 1 year deal so is he coming back?
Goulding out of contract and gone?
Lee Smith going to Newcastle Falcons?
It could be a small squad training session on 31st October....

How your feeling now is exactly how i felt at the start of last year and wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone, good luck and hope you get out of the mess your in.

Maybe you should remember how you felt more often instead of being a constant pillock to everybody else.

Our supporters prediction league donation this year went to the Wakefield Hospice, the people who use this service and their families are the ones who are down and frankly would love to have "only our problem".
As dissapointed as i am, we are still alive and very much kicking and have much to look forward to.'" Absolutely right Kinleycat. I'm sad and frustrated with another management failure at Trinity...but it's not life and death. Perspective and all that. Dare say I'll be trapsing over from Beverley fo some more punishment in the hope of a brighter future, next season.
Let's face it, it's not like we're not used to it

| Dont think the the new stand roof had anything to do with Glovers money, do I remember him saying at one of the audience nights that it was a paid for with a loan from outside the club which was matched by a Sportsmatch grant. Think they said £ 200,000 in total cost. Maybe someone out there will have a better memory than me but I am sure we were told that the funds game from outside the club.

Since my post my assumption has ben corrected and I've heard prety much what you have posted. Safe to say the roofs have not caused the current financial issues.

I always thought he had said they cost £500,000 and implied it had been paid for in house? I wasn't at the 'evening with' though so thanks for clearing that up
