As I am not going to grace the 'other' forum, could I just make it clear to all (I know they'll read this so it will do on here) that any suggestion that anyone in SWAG is set to gain financially from Newmarket is a long way from the truth. Not a penny has been, or will be, paid to any of us, or anyone connected to us, nor should it!

and more recent associates, Philip Hulme and Jonathan Stone.

It may make no sense to some, but the only reason any of us do this is for the love and pride of our club and City and that we were all in agreement that it was time to make a stand on behalf of the common people of the Merrie City.

Indeed. Poor phrase to use.

"Lungs of the Earth" refers to Rainforests and I suppose you could say it could be used for trees in general.

Much of the land (as far as I can tell) is fields not forest or woods.....and I seem to rememebr the trees that are there are being retained as much as possible.

Lets also not forget an additional 1% is to be added to the green belt in the district, maybe LCC have and they need reminding.

Reading AG's tweets, it seems LCC are being questioned by Yorkcourt and LCC's argument seems to be falling to pieces while I type.

Sue Speak up now on behalf of LCC, dealing with there planning side. Summary first, then questions.

LCC main objection is on the Green Belt issue.

LCC claim we have ruled out any other site, as this one is available. Also don't know why we haven't looked at other sites.

LCC claim we don't need such a large site, or that it could be split over a number of sites.

York Court are questioning now and ask if Leeds have an issue with the Stadium, which they claim no issue.

LCC agree that Wakefield do need all we are asking for!

LCC agree that we need a developer to build all we need to deliver the full application, including the Stadium!

So, LCC agree we need a stadium, we need more B8, need more jobs and need a developer to provide the funding. Come on now!!

LCC just presume we could share with Castleford, but have no evidence to back it up. They haven't really looked into it.

LCC suggest we move the development to between Castleford and Pontefract, so it's away from Leeds. Sounds like a 'not on my doorstep' deal!
