Do you think it make a jot of difference from a franchise point of view, from what i've picked up playing staff is so far down the list its almost a after thought.

Taking that to it's logical conclusion finishing last and getting thumped 60 nil every week would have no impact on our chances of getting a franchise. I disagree. Whilst i'm sure it is in no way the priority it can't hurt for us to be still seen as a club with something to offer on the field. If we finishe top 8 and win a play off game that can only make it harder to kick us out. Whether it would be enough is a completely different matter but my point is we shouldn't write off the playing side by focusing only on the ground etc

Partly right there AL but at the same time don't you think it is important to provide a good entertaining display on the pitch no matter what. If we do all this advertising etc to attract new fans or stay away fans then we need to give them a reason to come back.

If any newbie had been unfortunate enough to witness salford and quins away they would never return. In fact its a good job those two were played away from home.

Why would you spend any more on the ground until you know what your budgets are going to be based on the short/mid term? The changes that have happened have all been aimed at increasing/creating revenue streams, ok they have been cosmetic as well but they are all sound business practices. (Money in)

For our club to get bigger, we as fans are going to have to "dig deep", it was always so and unless a moneybags comes in for us, it will always be so. The thing that the club is doing right, and again its all about sound business and increasing revenue, is to make us feel like we are buying into something big and that we will benefit from, i.e a successful Wakefield Trinity. A good salesman doesn't sell you anything, you choose to buy from one. (More money in)

The playing squad sums up the club, battling, fighting against the odds, for our club it is a marketing winner, i wouldn't expect any big name players, nor would i waste any money on one, i would suggest a rough diamond or two and a couple of extra grafters. This will save us money we do not need to spend and if the worst comes to the worst and we can afford it, we have a side ready for the Championship to hit the ground running. (Not wasting money)

There is nothing more clearer a message, than that of someone doing everything they can to improve our lot, sometimes you have to look hard though.
Increase revenue
Increase membership
Improve ground
Demonstrate innovation
Demonstrate willingness
Demonstrate all the reasons why we should be a SL franchised club.
These are all key areas that the old club failed to deliver, and why we were staring at the abyss.
To me they are all areas now that the new club are showing vast improvements, and that has got to help our cause.

I am as sure as i can be in my own mind, that we at least deserve our shot at a franchise for SL, i can think of reasons why the old club may not have deserved one, even though i think we were still ahead of other clubs on merit.
Only time will tell, but IMO we are doing things to make the RFLs job that bit harder to justify if we do get the bullet in a couple of weeks, and i can live with that.

I am fed up of hearing about the old mob, you are quite right they left is in one hell of a pile of crap. Howewver they are now well gone and just a bad memory. Mr glover has been left with a mountain to climb, I accept that.

As far as his selling skills are concerned you have obviously bought in. However I am still waiting to see more than promises. That is proabaly were we both differ, albeit we both want what is best for WTW

I think a lot of people have bought in, personally i have because i see it as the only way for our club to progress, and regardless of who (ted or Glover) had taken these actions i would support them.
The facts as far as i can see them are that glover has pretty much delivered everything that he said or the RFL have asked.
What he hasn't delivered yet (players and ground) is because of his common sense is not wasting money he doesnt need to.
I can understand why some people are reluctant about the club, unfortunately our recent past affects our immediate future , and that cannot be forgotten, but i think the only way out is by us all putting something into the club.
I aren't defending the acts of anyone who hasn't so far failed to live up to expectations after all.
People will make up their own minds in the end.

All fair points and i agree in a ideal world the club should try to cover all angles, i just feel they've had to prioritise there efforts in such a short space of time and focus on what they feel gives us the best chance of a franchise.

Ok we sign a few players, win a few games and a few fans come back, then we lose the franchise and its all gone.

The decisions made in July so if we finish top 8 and win the Final it won't matter a jot because we'll already be gone.

Why did he sell his own ticket wiild one? and i understand that tickets are not transferable so if he did he broke the rules.
