| we need 8 pts at least to have half a chance afraid we are going to have to put in that do or die attitude into our play, entertaining when it pays off
I'd go for the test your arm style moving the ball to each of the wings and try to make the other teams guess, we have nothing to lose now
must wins are cas, bradford and salford

On current form, can't see us getting anything from the remaining 3 home games.
Should beat Cas, Bulls and Salford away, and maybe Huddersfield if they continue in their current vein of form.
Probably 6 or 8 points. Will that be enough for a top 8 finish? Lets hope so!!'"
... but this is Wakefield: the bookies' nightmare. We're as likely to beat Saints, Huddersfield and Warrington (week after semi-final) as we are to beat Cas, Salford and Bradford.
I think the issue is one of confidence rather than fitness. A bad start to a game, or the oppostion get into a 2 score lead, and the heads goes down.
Like Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can, or if you think you can't; you're right!
What's the odds on it going down to the final week and needing to beat Salford, and other results going our way, to make the 8? Deja Belle Vue

Being realistic I'm struggling to see us getting any more points this season and any we do get will be a bonus !

| A lot of optimism here about beating Cas away. The way they are going at the moment, we could be looking at a right pasting down the lane!

| my take on it
Hull FC, home............we are inconsistent without longy, though might have horne and calderwood back. you lot are on the rebound from a poor home performance. could go either way, or even a draw
Castleford, away........sorry can't see you winning this as cas are in a bit of form at home as evidenced by their win over hudds
Saints, home.............is this around challenge cup semi time? is so you might have a chance
Huddersfield, away.....sorry hudds are too strong at home
Warrington, home.......unless warrington are affected by a possible cup final appearance - nil points
Bradford, away..........despite their poor form you will need to play well to win here, though i suspect you may nick it
Salford, away............salfod are pretty good at home, i'm going for them
so no definate wins there i'm afraid but on the bright side its possible you may get 6 points or so. problem is nothing really is easy to predict in superleague this year

| Im not optomistic about any of those games. Can't see any wins out of them, although we may scrape a win, you never know.

| Realistically we should be looking at the Hull FC, Castleford, Salford, Huddersfield and Bradford games as winnable. However, considering how we're playing and the fact we do not seem to be improving week on week with a fully fit squad i'd be happy if we got 1 win out of our remaining games

| I'm going to go on the optimistic side,if they play like they did last week i think we could do-
Hull FC, home............2 points
Castleford, away........2 points
Saints, home.............0 points
Huddersfield, away.....0 points
Warrington, home.......0 points
Bradford, away..........2 points
Salford, away............2 points
Hudds and Bradford are def possible because they haven't been playing well lately,so if the lads can get their heads out of their s and really step up for the rest of the season along with Hull,Cas and Salford we might get 8 points. Then again we might lose all the ones I think we might win and win the harder ones.

| Would agree with Shifty on this unless challenge cup helps us out and we could get even more. It seems though whenever Morrison or Sam are missing we seem to be a big let down. The only downside on this is some teams target same for some extra punishment. I know the lads tough but even he can't always be 100%.

How can you possibly say we have a chance of beating Hudds. Are you not aware of the history of games between these two clubs?
