it was scrappy we dropped ball and i think we can play better.the play offs will be pressure i think leeds will get there then the other spot could be anybodys, if we can perform who knows we can score points.

Imbalance? Is that so wrong if all teams are striving to maximise there turnover, surely it can only be good for the game.

We have never had a cap that is connected directly to turnover, we have had a cap that limits spend regards turnover but does not reward it, and now we have a cap that allows clubs to spend full cap regardless of turnover.

I am not sure highlighting the failings of a set cap enhances your support of it?!

We had a system that allowed a percentage of the clubs turnover to be spent directly on players salarys.
That system clearly did not work.
This system as a clearly defined cap.
At present we as a club do not use the maximum because clearly we do not generate the turnover at present to furnish it.
Wigan as a club can generate the revenue to use all the cap, good on youse.
If in the future,new stadium extra revenue we can use the full cap so be it.
The franchise system within the game also ensure's that clubs do not live beyond their means (allowing for some expansion clubs).

If we had a 50% revenue system Wigan would not be at the front of the queue.

What it would mean is all clubs would strive to grow and there would be no comfort zone, the current system of the cap allows for poor working practice and lack of inovation to be rewarded.

There is always a comfort zone with rules that encourage a level playing field rather than innovation and growth.

Lets not also forget when we got 30 points in '04 there was more games in SL, we played the bottom teams 3 times and we'd also lost more games that season then this season........
