| Quote: Trojan Horse "Yes it was awful. Minns and Croft were directly responsible for around 6 of the try’s and Gaskell could have prevented 2 at least had he have tackled the man with the ball. They jumped out of position and hit the wrong man leaving overlaps more than once. Poor Murphy was left 3 on 1 at one point. It was a shambles out wide was defence.
I don’t think the forwards were terrible today but the game was played on the edges and we were completely exposed out wide.'"
Gaskell was absolutely shocking and responsible for most of the Salford tries! . He never moved to cover the overlaps leaving us a man short every time, and when he could be bothered it was at a jog and miles too late. Absolutely bone idle and should not play again. A rubbish signing that should be no where near our starting line up.
We let Ryan Hampshire go, who is a better FB than Gaskell and a better winger than Lineham. Go figure that one out

Just watched it back and you're right. I don't mind the ref having the final say but it was so blatantly forward. And Burgess put his foot on the ground when the ball was still a couple of feet in the air. Missed by three officials who were right by it. From the stands, it looked obviously in touch.
I'll console myself with the thought that we only got stuffed 62-10

| Watched the highlights and kept an eye specifically on Gaskell for each try. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as obviously out of position. Not a full back in a million years. He was never near the try scorers, ambled around, too slow. On the kick through in the second half, he was at the play the ball, so a kick was obvious, but still made no effort to get back.
It would have helped if Miller had been more concerned about it.
If Willie thinks he is a full-back, he's deluded. But why couldn't he see that during training?

| We got done over by a team who played to there strengths, which ultimately found out our weaknesses. The attacking spine of Brierley, Croft, Sneyd and Ackers run us out wide with speed and excellent running off the ball. I don`t Think Brierley was tackled in the first half and all his gameplan was, to run off the other 3 players drop passes and run in to space out wide and feed their centres, they outnumbered every time. What did confuse me was that we never did any substitutions to try and stop the haemorrhaging of points. Whenever a player dons the Wakey shirt I try to play my part by supporting them, and as long as they try 100% then they will get my support. But I feel that there was at least 6 players did not put the effort in at all ,and it did`nt take long to infect the whole team performance. Fortunately for me I support Wakey and not the individuals , I`ll hopefully still be watching my team long after they`ve gone. For the record I stayed after the whistle with about a 100 other supporters and most of the players looked sheepishly embarrassed, hopefully it may have been a kick up the backside that they need and for some of them to look at themselves in the mirror to see the player thats looking back at them. On to the next game.

The absolute carthorse on right wing with the turning circle of a large cruise liner was no better.

Same FB group who you quoted regarding the club not having the money for the forthcoming revamp? Thanks for giving us insight into these snippets that seem to give you a little orgasm every now and then. The Chester one? FFS man!

| I can’t only comment on what I read, and I’m not the only poster on here who’s read it.
I so hope it isn’t true, as it could be damaging on the club, but if it is, you can part sympathise with the players for not putting 100% in. Would you, if you’re boss asked you to do that.
It doesn’t take a genius, reading on companies house, that the club are struggling again

Then why comment at all especially if it's only hearsay as you rightly say it could damage the club, but do you really care?

Maybe the problem is that he looks OK in training as we don't have any clue when attacking, so when they're practicing he is defending plays that are simple to read and doesn't need to think/react.

I'm over the top! Thats so rich and ironic from the world class moaner, I've just wet myself with laughter.
Its infantile and counter productive, but its free country so go ahead if it makes you feel good.
For me the club is the only thing that matters, those in charge and those playing, or not, in this case are irrelevant. If that makes me a sheep (how pathetic a jibe is that) then I'm fine because at least I'm not you.'"
you really don't get the frustrations do you,
I'll put it this way you have a favorite restaurant you like going to which you enjoyed the food there but there's a change of ownership who you get to like but keeps on serving you slurry at what point do you say sorry enough is enough for me until you sort this out,
you keep turning up and they will keep serving you the same slurry as they just want to do it on the cheap hence why you are the problem, you can't blame all this on supporters not tipping up it works both ways

| Totally irrelevent on the day but that last try from Bugess is an absolute shocker from the ref and touchie. Just on the double movement he gave against Whitbread comparing that to the Akauola the ref was harsh on Whitbread both seemed similar to me. Salford were on fire it has to be said and we were like leaking seize putting it out!
