| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "Indeed, I had a little look back at the records this morning because my recollections of playing Bradford are mostly bad ones.
I had to go back to 1979, the season after we last went to Wembley to see a similar points margin. We beat them 30 – 5 in the Y.C at Bradford, when Bill Ashurst sold Mumby the most outrageous dummy to score a memorable try.
But to exceed the margin you’d have to go back to 1962 & a 45 – 11 victory at B.V, I’m sure one or two will actually recall, ironically the Rocky Turner era.'"
Even better, I remember seeing Trinity beating Bradford (Northern) by 73 - 5 in the early 60's, not sure probably 1962-3 time.

Neil Fox can't have been playing that day, as I'm sure Gerry Round was the goal kicker.

The lads were up for that from the kick off, tackled their hearts out and gave their all for the red white and blue for the whole 80 minutes. I think the tackling has improved ten fold since Brian Smith came in and is getting better week by week. It's our biggest win over Bradford in years so I'm really gonna enjoy it, and hope we continue with the same level next week, a win at Leigh would be fantastic.'"

I was at the same game. In that era playing Bradford Northern was like shooting fish in a barrel. Things change over time.

| Liked the look of Sio from game one.
He's a unit that doesn't mind where he play's and keeps going and going.
Could be one of the signings of recent years.

Agreed. I thought he pushed Scruton and Tim for the man of the match performance yesterday. He was everywhere.

First time in a long while I can remember us getting a decent write up in YP. Then again, we have been pretty dire for a while. Laughable comment - I assume by a Bulls fan - that Thaler was a biased hometown ref. I'd struggle to point to much he got wrong, and secondly I'm pretty sure he's a Cas fan. Additionally, I'd have thought most observers would have acknowledged that the gulf between the two teams on the day was really what swung it.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |

Well - when we played HKR in the cup - the score was 50-30. So our defensive/your attacking effort is similar. Gaskell going off may have just been the difference between 3 tries and 5 tries for us. The result would still have been the same.
Best I've seen Scruton play. Your middle was great.
Any news on Owen? or Moore? - I assume he was replaced in the squad due to injury?

| I think Moore was straight up dropped and replaced by Sio which turned out to be a master stroke because Sio was immense for us.
Tom Johnstone will probably replace Richard Owen but don't rule out a Craig Hall appearance instead.

Apparently Moore got an arm injury in training,

| You would never want any player to be injured, but Scott Moore not been available played right into our hands, it forced Coach Smith to go with Sio and Godinet which is an obvious correct selection, I am fairly confident Moore was going to play, maybe Godinet was not 100 % and was not going to be risked. Sometimes its best when a coach does not have a choice, always remember Kear trying to get Drew, Brough, Obst, Rooney, Grix and maybe even Latu into the same 17.

| Moore had to be injured. You can't change the 19 just because you change your mind. Has to be an injury......whether he was injured or not!
Godinet was a good addition but he didn't look 100% so I could believe we were originally waiting another week for him to be available to play.

Scott Moore has a torn bicep, freak accident in training. Godinet would not have played otherwise.

Godinet looked like he'd never been away.
Very sharp from the moment he went on and he'll cause any team problems.
There is an air of anticipation whenever he gets the ball.

Hope he has no reaction to being thrown in earlier than planned. Excellent interchange with Sio.
